Aurora hunting - We had a cloudy night with a lot of solar activity. The tour guides really kept on driving for hours until we found a spot without clouds, so we could see the northern lights

Best trip of the holiday! - At the Start of the trip we got picked up in a really nice small bus with nice Light Ing. Because we had really good conditions, we did not have to drive very far from the city. The guides chose an amazing lake, where we waited for the auroras to show up. They knew what they where doing and the auroras showed up shortly after. We had an amazing night and took very cool photos! I would really recommend this trip and might do it again in the future with some other friends.

UNFORGETTABLE TOUR - L'esperienza con BookLapland è stata fantastica. Per due sere consecutive io e la mia fidanzata non eravamo riusciti a partire con altre compagnie per il cielo nuvoloso. Fin quando la mattina del giorno stesso della "caccia" siamo riusciti a prenotare con BookLapland. Siamo partiti con il van da Rovaniemi alle 19:30. La guida ci ha subito informati che trovare un posto senza nuvole per un bello spettacolo sarebbe stato un po' più difficile del solito. Però guidando verso Nord-Ovest per circa 2 ore/2 ore e 30 siamo riusciti a trovare un luogo con cielo sereno e buone previsioni di attività boreale. Ci siamo fermati e abbiamo aspettato che il buio completo arrivasse (infatti le giornate ad inizio aprile sono molto più lunghe). Le luci hanno iniziato a vedersi verso le 11 circa e lo show è durato più di un'ora. Durante lo spettacolo le guide non hanno smesso un secondo di scattarci fotografie in questa splendida cornice. Dopo circa un'ora di spettacolo siamo ripartiti, rientrando a Rovaniemi alle 2.00 circa. Il giorno dopo abbiamo ricevuto le foto scattate con la fotocamera professionale via email. E' stata un'esperienza fantastica ed indimenticabile. Consiglio a tutti questa esperienza con Booklapland, sono davvero preparati, onesti e professionali. The experience with BookLapland was great. For two consecutive evenings my fiancée and I had been unable to leave with other companies because of cloudy skies. Until the morning of the very day of the "hunt" we managed to book with BookLapland. We left by van from Rovaniemi at 7:30 pm. The guide immediately informed us that finding a place without clouds for a good show would be a bit more difficult than usual. However, by driving northwest for about 2 hours/2:30 hours we managed to find a place with clear skies and a good forecast of boreal activity. We stopped and waited for complete darkness to arrive (in fact, the days in early April are much longer). The lights started to show around 11 or so and the show lasted more than an hour. During the show the guides did not stop for a second to take pictures of us in this beautiful setting. After about an hour of the show we left again, returning to Rovaniemi at about 2:00 am. The next day we received the photos taken with the professional camera by email. It was a fantastic and unforgettable experience. I recommend this experience with Booklapland to everyone, they are really knowledgeable, honest and professional.

Comfy Trip with engaging host - Loved the trip. We actually saw dancing Auroras and got multiple pictures clicked. We were accompanied by Willy- he was pretty engaging throughout the trip. There was no hassle in the trip- we were picked up from our property in a nice, clean van and taken 150 km north from Rovaniemi for aurora sighting. Willy told us that if we were not going to see aurora from there, he’ll take us to a different location. Luckily, we saw it within 30 mins we reached there.

Incredible experience - It was an incredible experience, in Rovaniemi the day was very cloudy; However, the boys took us over 200km away to ensure we saw the auroras! Highly recommended!

Absolutely recommended! - Great tour. The guys did their best to take us to several locations where the lights were visible, even if it meant some hours driving from Rovaniemi. But it was absolutely worth it. We could take as many photos we wanted and they also made us some warm drinks to keep us from not freezing. Thanks!

Hunting Auroras - It has been an incredible experience. The day was very cloudy but thanks to the search for clear skies and solar intensity, we managed to see the aurora. Great professionals!

The dream of chasing the Aurora comes true! - We participated in the tour on 28/3/24. It was cloudy and snowy in the center of Rovaniemi that night...but the tour guides Emil & Eerik worked really hard to let us see the aurora :) He drove us to a cloudless place 200+ kilometers north, and used his mobile phone to track the aurora along the way. We stopped at three locations, and at each location we saw auroras with intensity visible to the naked eye! The tour guide also brought a professional camera and took a lot of photos for us. At the last location, the tour guide also lit a campfire and drank hot juice around it - it was so dreamy :) Thanks to Emil & Eerik for their professional knowledge of the aurora and their sincerity in leading tourists to pursue the aurora. Definitely recommend this tour!

Maximize your opportunity to see the northern lights - I picked this tour because I wanted a company that would put a lot of effort into finding the northern lights. they were great and picked me up from my hotel, even last minute. very cordial and nice. we did see the northern lights and even drove to the border of Sweden! It was a little chaotic with trying to get everyone’s photos, not exactly what I imagined, but sounds like that’s very common. they sent these photos to us after too! overall would recommend if you want to have the best shot at seeing the northern lights.

Two people have to sit on a seat for one person! - They do not say on here that you will have to sit for hours on and in a car sharing a seat with another person! It was incredibly unfcomfortable and painful. They try to save money by transforming a single seat (that is supposed to be slightly wider+comfortable) and have two adults sit on it. Maybe two children could, but not adults! My request for a refund has been ignored, after I initally received a tiny refund, they promised to have a board meeting and discuss but they did not come back to me. Very dissapointed, they wasted my time and money.
