The ice and the fish... - What a day. The ice froze meters thick and now there has to be a hole in it. Andres did an excellent job of guiding us through these moments of ice, wind and cold.

Nice overview of ice fishing and snowshoes - We had a nice time with our French speaking guide. We had the whole tour booked just for both of us. Our guide was warm and welcoming, eager to share his love for Lapland. We had a nice snowshoes walk in the forest, where he showed us how to see animal steps in snow. It was our first time with snowshoes, so our guide was very helpful and taking good care of us. We felt safe. We had a warm break around a fire drinking hot berry juice. Then we went to a lake where we tried to make holes in the ice but the lake was not deep enough for fishing. After few attempts, our guide made us a lappish BBQ with salmon, sausages, corn and sandwiches for lunch and we went to another lake. Unfortunately, no fish that day but a really lovely time.
