Now one of our favorite cities!! - We knew little of Rotterdam until Elmar opened our eyes. He loves this city, and by the end of our walking tour, we loved it, too. The art, history, and accessibility of noteworthy places held us rapt. Fish and chips with peanut butter and mayo at Market Hall were superior! Elmer’s mastery of English made interaction easy. A special city!!

Great introduction to Rotterdam and the Netherlands - Our guide, Abdullah, was terrific. His running commentary was fascinating, and his knowledge of the city and its history was remarkable. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour, and we especially enjoyed the numerous “street food” surprises that he introduced us to. We highly recommend the tour as a great way to get to know Rotterdam.

Private Tour of Rotterdam - My husband and I had a wonderful tour of Rotterdam today with our guide Elmar. It was our first visit here and we didn’t know what to expect. Elmar guided us through much of the city and revealed its unique charm and eclectic architecture. Our private tour was a perfect first day in the city. We appreciated every stop and also the food and drink along the way. Elmar knows so much about his city, and his enthusiasm and personal charm made for a wonderful day. We highly recommend this tour.

Wonderful walking tour of Rotterdam - A wonderful walking tour of Rotterdam. Abdullah was very knowledgeable about the history and culture, conveying it in a conversational style. Loved that it was all inclusive- transportation and entrance tickets and food included. Accomodated our mobility challenges, walking slowly and finding places to sit and rest. Highly recommended!!!!

Take this tour!!! - What a great day! All over the city center for a wealth of information from a local. Even with rain and hail he was happy to push on if I was even though my travel friend was out sick for the day.
A little over 5 miles(that in no way felt as such) seeing all the best spots-tourist and non! Even got a water-taxi ending back to hotel!
Elmar was knowledgeable, courteous, spoke great English and the walking Not at such a pace like some groups that give “tourist whiplash” and all one can do is keep up without actually enjoying anything. A most enjoyable tour and the best of the 5 so far this trip!!

Great tour! - Abdullah was very personable and took into consideration our interests during the tour of the central city. Our tour was during the Marathon and he did a good job of getting us to the sites despite the blockades. He had options for the different foods to taste and all were wonderful. We were very satisfied with the whole experience.

If you like cattle calls you’ll love this. - A long boat ride that starts out with some narration then pretty much stops. Way too much empty time that could be used for explanation of Stavenger history, oil business, environment, wildlife, etc. instead you get a rather dull 25 mile each way river cruise. Plus not enough seats. Many folks had to stand for the entire 3.5 hrs. A true cattle call tourist trap.

Good General Overview Tour, but We Expected More Depth - While we appreciated having a local guide for a 3-hr walking tour of Rotterdam, we were expecting more historical knowledge, more stories to bring significance to the sites we were seeing, and more knowledge of the architecture from our guide.
Our guide was kind and accommodating, especially when our morning train was late, but did not come prepared with an agenda or tour route, nor did they remind us of all that was 'included' in our booking (lunch, snacks, admission to the Cube House and Laurence Church).
