- Basilica of Santa Maria in Trastevere - One of the first Christian Churches in Rome, completely decorated with gold mosaics and one of the most beautiful example of Romanic Art in Rome around IV century AD. This church is the first example of the reuse of the material: the constraction has been made using 24 coloms arriving from Caracalla Therms areal.
- Fontana in Piazza Santa Maria in Trastevere - S.Mary in Trastevere Fountain is believed to be the oldest still functioning fountain in Rome, subject to restorations, various types of interventions, and even a move. In fact, it seems that the first testimony of a source in that place can be traced back to the Augustan age, although there is no absolutely certain evidence of it. The source was supposed to be fed by the aqueduct that Augustus had built in 2 BC. for the feeding of its “naumachia”, the artificial lake for naval combat shows built in the Trastevere area. The aqueduct was probably intended from the outset for such a purpose: in fact the water is not drinkable, and when it was not used for naumachia it was used for agricultural purposes and for the irrigation of the “Caesar’s gardens”, the park that Caesar himself wanted it to be made public after his death. In this district the Queen Cleopatra from Egypt was for more than 1 year living in Rome.
