Royal Experiences This Sistine Chapel tour - This Sistine Chapel tour deserves every star and then some. Our guide was an absolute gem—passionate, articulate, and brimming with stories that transported us back to the Renaissance. I’ve visited Rome before but never appreciated the Vatican’s treasures like I did on this tour. We learned how Michelangelo reluctantly took on the Chapel ceiling and how he innovated with perspective and color. The guide even showed us how to spot Michelangelo’s self-portrait hidden in “The Last Judgment,” which blew my mind. The group size was perfect—small enough that we could hear everything and ask questions without feeling rushed. The tour also covered the Vatican Museums, which hold so many breathtaking sculptures and paintings that it felt like walking through the pages of an art history textbook. But the Sistine Chapel is the crown jewel. Standing there, gazing up at that ceiling, I felt chills. Booking this tour turned what could have been a stressful visit into a smooth, unforgettable experience. Worth every penny. Don’t miss it!

Not what I expected - The Vatican and Sistine Chapel are awe inspiring. The tour added nothing to the beauty of the places. Our earphones did not work. The guide gave some information on the works of art and tapestries but when we got the the Sistine Capel we were left on our own. We have gone on tours in the past that had guides who took time to explain the significance of the individual sections of the ceiling.

Haven't completed tour. Will complete another review near the end. - I am currently on the tour... the guide has told us she does not do the tour to st. Peters basilica. This tour states we are able to go into st Peter's basilica. The guide isn't able to go in so we are unable to. I would imagine you will be getting a lot of emails about wrong information given.

Save your money… - Pretty disappointed with the experience. I mean, the logistics of booking were okay and our tour guide was good BUT we still had to wait in line quite some time. This tour was a huge group. My hubby (who had a cane because he hurt his foot) straggled behind and had a very difficult time keeping up. We weren’t offered any alternatives whether to slow the pace a bit or take an elevator or offer a wheelchair. Although kids were welcomed on the tour and charged nearly full price, the tour guide did not acknowledge them or even offer any tidbits of info that might be interesting for them. For the price we paid, we should have just showed up, purchased tickets and gone at our own pace.

Great museum but poor tour guide - Was excited about visiting the Vatican but unfortunately the guide was very monotone and seemed to just going through the motions rather than show any passion about the museum. Disappointed with the tour guide but the museum is worth a visit.
