Amazing food tour we heard about from Untold Italy podcast - Heard about this tour from the Untold Italy podcast a few days before my actual trip and was so fortunate that soloists were still available! Julia was incredible, the market was amazing and the food was some of the best we had in Rome. Highly recommend!!!

Amazing tour! - The tour was amazing! Emanuela the guide was perfect. Nice, interesting and full of stories and culinary tips. The neighborhood is very special and the Testaccio market is a place you don't usually go to alone. Highly recommended!

Great food tour - five stars - Great tour in a local area off the beaten track in Testaccio. Mattia our guide was excellent, gave us lots of information and history about Italian food and how the locals eat and shop. Lots of stops and tasty food, no need to have breakfast. Had a fantastic time - thanks a five star experience, recommended.

A perfect evening with good food, wine. - This was possibly the best and most fun food tour I've taken. Aurilio was our guide and when he introduced himself as a former chef, he asked not to think of him as a guide, but as a friend. He was accommodating, answered everyone's questions, and did a great job facilitating a spirited group. On the tour, he not only taught us about the food, but a little about how to say "grazie" Grazi-a, how to toast properly in Italy, how to choose a place with good gelato, and which restaurants are authentic. The food was very good, and plentiful, the right amount for me, and the wine was also very good and came with detailed explanations of why the wine went with the particular dish and where it came from. The short walks between locations wasn't bad at all. The group I toured with was a great bunch, fun and friendly, sharing stories, I hope you all have as good a time as we did. If you're deciding on which food tour to take, I'd highly recommend this one.

Rome: Taste of Testaccio - Devour tours generally sponsors excellent food tours throughout Europe I’ve tried three. For me, the best was “Taste of Testaccio”, afood tasting adventure in one of Rome’s unsung neighborhoods. Our guide, Manuela, was smart, charming and knowledgeable. And she spoke excellent English and answered every question the 8 of us had. We tasted lots of good things in a covered market, artisanal gelato and very good pasta in a vintage trattoria. I will happily use this tour operator again.

Good way to explore the Testaccio area - Our guide, Chiara, was very friendly and had just the right pace for the day. She answered our questions and kept us moving, but it did not feel rushed. We liked that the company focuses on local establishments (not chains) and has relationships with local vendors. The market was great to explore (Chiara gave us time to shop a bit, too!) and we really enjoyed seeing the wine cellar at the restaurant. I liked that this tour spent more quality time in a particular area, rather than rushing around trying to see all the sights. Would recommend this tour to others as a great way to learn about a neighbourhood that is a bit off the beaten touristy path in Rome.

A great food experience away from the tourist traps of Rome. - A wonderfully enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide made this tour so informative and so much fun. The variety, quality and quantity of food was outstanding. Do not eat breakfast before this tour!
