Piazza in Piscinula - Then, move to the heart of the district, in piazza di Santa Maria in Trastevere. After visiting the homonym church, tasting will continue with one of the most famous typical Roman Street food: the supplì, a deep fried rice ball filled with cheese, tomato mozzarella egg. From one stop to another you will also discover one of the oldest and best pizza shop of the district.
Your guide will show you the off-the beaten paths of this area, and help you to familiarize with the area, full of restaurants of local cooking or bar and pub where young locals use to spend their night having fun with friends. Not only salty tastings, but also sweets!

Trastevere, which translates to ‘across the river’, is viewed as one of Rome’s most authentic districts. This 2.5-hour exploration will not only unveil Trastevere with its inviting lanes and concealed nooks, but will also introduce you to the hallmark Italian and Roman street cuisine. You’ll explore iconic sites such as Santa Maria in Trastevere Church, established around Rome’s earliest Christian congregation, the Sistus Bridge, christened after the pope who ordered its 16th century restoration, and Piazza Trilussa, named after a renowned Roman dialect poet. With this group journey limited to 14 participants, it will feel less like a tour and more like a casual roam through the city with friends.
