underground rome you don't expect - We found ourselves with our guide Alessandra in the morning in Piazza dei crociferi next to the fountain of trevi very good at explanation but also very nice to discover an underground Rome that you do not expect then we took a walk until you get to the Spanish Steps explained the route that the aqueduct does under the buildings of the city.

Recommended and interesting visit also for boys - Visit highly recommended. A pleasant afternoon outing made in an afternoon where obviously Trevi was very crowded but carried out very well. We had already made a guided tour in June and returning to Rome for the holidays we did not hesitate to contact her. Emanuele is an excellent guide, very prepared and engaging.

Trevi Fountain Underground Tour - Fantastic guided tour of the basement of the Trevi fountain, in particular the Vicis Caprarius, we were amazed by the archaeological site and the skill of the guide. We had a great time, very professional. Experience to try with Rome with Silvia.

No one knows about this amazing find. - What a surprise and a great one. Our tour guide told us so many interesting facts about the Roman water ways that are still in existence and one that is supplying all of the historic fountains in the city.

Hidden Gem - We had a fantastic experience going under the Trevi Fountain with our guide Silvia, whose enthusiasm and knowledge about Roman history was amazing. We could easily have spent the whole day in her wonderful company and learnt so much on our tour.

Good but cramped, little disappointed it wasn’t more like a tunnel walking tour. - It was good to see the underground. It was smaller than expected and very cramped. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about all things Roman. She went on for a long time. I’d prefer to have been able to walk more rather than stand around. Thought it would be more tunnels.

Changing title to the tour - The visit was very interesting and especially the guide Alessandra very engaging. I only have one note on the title of the tour. Speaking of the underground Trevi Fountain suggests that you will also visit part of the back of the fountain by accessing for example from the side door in Via della Stamperia. In fact, the Fountain will see what is external and usable to all and you will know stories and legends around the construction of this magnificent work. Very interesting but the title is misleading. In fact, it is about the history and the underground visit, the virgin aqueduct, from the Trevi Fountain to the Barcaccia, passing through Via del Nazarene where you can see the external parts of the aqueduct. The visit to the archaeological area of Vicus Caprarius is the only underground part but it is part of the Trevi district not the fountain. It remains a beautiful and interesting visit to learn to look around.

certainly better with guidance than without - The archaeological site is interesting but much more interesting the guide. We went with a group guide Walking with Silvia and we greatly appreciated the guide that made it possible to reconstruct the route of the aqueduct and the remains of different historical periods

Visit - I can say that the explanation was very detailed, but the part outside, unfortunately there were so many people that it was difficult to follow.

TREVI UNDERGROUND: A COMMON ARCHAEOLOGICAL SITE OF AN IMAGINARY ROMAN DOMUS IN THE ABSENCE OF ANY WORK OF ENGINEERING - For those who expect to see the Roman aqueduct that feeds the Trevi Fountain will certainly be disappointed! This is one of the many excavations of the URBE in which, with much imagination, you can rebuild a few meters of ancient Roman aqueduct near an equally imaginary Roman Domus: without a guide you can not even imagine the Domus. If you are expecting engineering and/or hydraulics from ancient Rome, avoid wasting money.
