Your driver, fluent in English, will collect you from the port and transport you to the heart of Rome, Venice Square. Here, you’ll find the Victor Emanuel monument, affectionally referred to as “the Wedding Cake.”
Following this, you’ll explore relics from Rome’s illustrious past: the Roman Forum, the Colosseum, the Circus Maximus, Capitol Hill, Palatine Hill, and the Baths of Caracalla. From here, we return to Rome’s center to explore the iconic Pantheon, wander through Piazza Navona, witness the Spanish Steps and view the Trevi Fountain. A halt for a traditional Italian Lunch and shopping is also included.
Continuing the city exploration in the afternoon, we head to the Vatican City, the world’s smallest state, and the custodian of a massive trove of artistic treasures: the Vatican Museums, the Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter’s Basilica. In the afternoon, we’ll transport you back to the pier.
