It originated from Emperor Vespasian’s vision to bestow upon the Romans history’s grandest amphitheater purely for Gladiator shows, following the dark times under Emperor Nero’s dreadful rule. The journey will transport you to the epoch of one of the world’s seven wonders. Your ticket also includes access to the Palatine Hill & the Roman Forum, although without a guide.

A+ Our Favorite Tour of the Trip. Intimate Size & Wonderful Guide - 100% Pick THIS company. As a tourist: When we arrived to Rome, many of our other pre-booked tours with OTHER COMPANIES were canceled when we arrived (sometimes with less than an hour notice because they overbooked & cancel your reservation).
I was told it would be unlikely to secure Coliseum tickets within a few days. I booked this tour hoping to get to see the Coliseum (Colloseo). I found THIS company after a desperate online search and I am so grateful to our tour guide GIORGIA for a phenomenal tour. My teenage son & I loved the entire tour. The group was intimate (6 only) and allowed us to ask questions. They use a microphone & we were given an ear piece with a hearing system (to wear on a string on your neck) so we heard everything easily and clearly. The price was reasonable. The history was concise, interesting and the tour left us even more amazed with the beautiful architecture of the Roman world. I highly recommend GIORGIA. She is kind, patient, interesting, and a royal sweetheart. I will 100% rebook this tour again with Giorgia on my next trip to Rome. Truly our favorite part of our short trip. We also met some nice people on our tour. The other tour groups were big. I’m so happy we had a small tour group & she knew our names, answered our questions, was simply the ultimate guide. So grateful that they helped us after the frustration of the OTHER TOUR COMPANY cancellations.

Great tour of the Colosseum!! Definitely worth going inside to get a better experience! Highly recommended! - This was exactly the type of tour of the colosseum that we were looking for. We were able to go inside the colosseum to see what it looks like inside. It was an amazing experience. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and gave an excellent tour. I felt that it was the perfect amount of time to see and learn about this amazing sight. Make sure to remember to bring a form of identification when you for the tour. One of our tour members forgot their ID, but the guide went above and beyond to contact the hotel to have them email a copy of the passport, which saved the day! I would highly recommend this tour!

Great experience - Recommend - We had a great experience on this guided tour, despite the scorching temperature.
Our guide, Amir, was very nice, he paced our tour according to our group of 13 persons (4 seniors, 5 adults & 4 kids under 14 years old) needs.
I was impressed by Amir deep knowledge of historical facts related with Colosseum & Rome (and not only).
He made this tour very interactive, asking us about our opinions and providing us with interesting infos.
Definitely recommend Amir and the Italy in Love Tours.

Pros: The tour was great.... - Pros: The tour was great. Our tour guide was so knowledgeable and eager to answer questions. We learned so much about Rome and the Colosseum.
Con: We took this tour because it was a short one. The tour itself was as advertised but the guide was nearly 30 minutes late and then we stood outside the Colosseum for almost an hour before we were let in. We took a short tour due to the fact that my husband has lung issues and gets weak quickly. Because of the waiting times it was very difficult for him.

Romanian tour guide was amazing! - Our tour guide was Romanian (don't remember his name), but he was amazing. We had a bit of an issue in the beginning of the tour because of the new systems put in place for the new year which caused a bit of a delay, but he made it up later by extending the tour and showing us the Roman forum and Palatine Hill (which weren't included in the ticket originally). He was so lively and made the tour enjoyable. We enjoyed the tour making jokes, taking pictures, and listening to the greatly detailed history guide. Recommend taking a tour with him. Thanks for a fun experience!

Worthy but challenging - Although fast we found the tour guide knowledgeable. We needs a bit more time to capture photos due to the crowds. A lot of history to listen to but I would suggest that you can walk up step steps and be able to navigate through the crowds of people.

Average - Sadly very expensive for a guide whos English was very difficult to understand . We had to try and read the signs in the museum to understand what was going on . It was advertised as an English tour . They are not kidding when they say express you really do move fast

HORRIBLE - The worst possible experience on a family trip.
We bought a tour of the Colosseum in Rome from this company and were given a supposed guide???? This gentleman should be reported to the head of tourism in Rome, because he started our tour with the following phrase: I can't take it any more, I'm exhausted. He told us about the pillars of the Colosseum, showed us a video, collected the radios and left.
UNBELIEVABLE.
DO NOT VISIT THIS COMPANY.
To make matters worse, I emailed the company and they never replied.
I'm going to find out who is in charge of tourism in Rome and I'm going to denounce the company and this man.
