Absolutely excellent - This tour was excellent. Smaragda was very knowledgeable and provided so many incites into the Borghese family and the politics and society in which the family and the artists lived. She made the art relevant to the world at that time and even today. Smaragada was both sensitive and thought provoking. We would love to do another tour with her.

Don’t miss this gem! - This tour was led by Gabriel (not Sylvia as was advertised) but Gabriel was a font of knowledge about art and art history. He’s got a passion for the art ww saw and he engaged the group with his knowledge. The Borghese Museum itself is a work of art; every surface: ceilings, walls and floors are beautiful. And it’s a reasonable size to get through in a few hours. It’s one visitors to Rome should not miss!

Last minute cancellation left us in the lurch, no communication, no effort. - Notified us about last minute cancellation the afternoon before. No other tickets available at any price for this frequently sold out gallery that accepts only a limited number per day. I would have been happy just for the tickets without the tour guide, but no communication other than the "sorry, cancelled" email. I wonder if they even had the tickets, because they could have emailed them to me, or I would have picked them up, which I offered to do. No response. So we had to leave Rome without seeing this place we had heard (and learned in advance) so much about. I rarely leave negative reviews, preferring just to leave no review at all, but this was extraordinarily frustrating. A serious tour company should have contingencies. I gave 2 stars because at least they refunded the money.
