Would go back in a heartbeat - An amazing experience. Very crowded as we went to Rome on Pentecost week of a Jubilee year, so every place we went there was a see of people. Still amazing to see such beautiful places like the colosseum. Enjoy Rome made it easy to get tickets. Their shop is just a short walk from the colosseum so it’s easy to go and pick up the physical tickets.

Colosseum - Please be aware that the tickets you get in your email to add to your Apple wallet does not allow you to enter. You have to walk to an office close the colosseum but in 95 degree heat, it was exhausting. Also, you don’t need corded headphones. It is through an app so you can listen on your Bluetooth headphones.

Tripadvisor zockt ab - The ticket via Tripadvisor is twice as expensive as directly via the Colosseum. You have to pick up the tickets at another location, which is extremely tedious. You can also see the actual price on the ticket.

Audio app needed before. - Loved the coliseum and glad we got in but wish we would have been told about the app needed for the audio before our tour. We didn’t have reception and did not get to hear the audio part of the tour. Basically you are paying just to skip the lines. No real assistance was made by tour staff.

Great places, but with a tour person to get around and see everything - If you decided to go to Colosseum and it’s your first time in Rome, I highly suggested to use a tour guide person, not a tour guide app. Getting to the entrance is not as easy as it looks. They gave a paper map and tell you where to go and use the online map but it is not very accurate and you lose time looking for the entrance. You have specific hour to to get to the different area if you buy the full experience but by yourself is not easy to check all three places. I was not able to go to the second one because I lost 25 min looking for the first entrance and it was time to go to the colosseum and you have to be on time for that one. It’s a beautiful experience, but I highly suggest you get a tour person.

Total Frustration - The directions to the ticket office were not very clear. It’s up above the Colosseum. Tried to call for an explanation and no answer. Finally found it, but we had missed our time, so they wouldn’t let us in to the Colosseum! Better and clearer directions were needed!!

Terrible experience - When you buy your ticket make sure to read the fine print. I had bought my ticket for 9:45 but they handled me a 11:45 saying the that is how it is and I needed to start by the Forum!! But I was not planning to start there even visiting since I was in Rome for a day. I explained and they did not care, so I had to wait around under 28C with two kids to the Colosseum … 😡😡
