Awesome private experience! - Sandy Hoofs was amazing! My wife and I had limited riding experience but the horses were well trained and the guide was in control the whole time. We rode down to the beach and were able to take the horses into the water for a little while as well. The guide was very friendly. He walked behind us for most of the tour, and only came along side the horse to help us get on and off. The entire staff is great. We were picked up from Sandals Grande via taxi (40 USD cash) and taken on a 10 minute ride to the stables. Would definitely recommend. Our Sandy Hoofs was one of the highlights of our trip. If you are looking for a truly private horse ride on the beach, look no further!

Nice tour - My husband, 9 year old daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed this tour. We had 2 guides, they were very attentive, kind and helpful. The horses looked very well taken care of. The beach was beautiful. Our guides offered us water and fresh coconuts. We recommend this tour.

Truly awesome experience - dream alive! - My husband and I did a private beach horse riding tour with Sandy Hoofs during our honeymoon - it was truly amazing!! We were able to meet one of the owners (Josh) and talk with him during our experience there. Him and his wife have a long experience with horses and show so much love, care, and devotion to their animals and their dreams. These were the best looking horses we have seen on the island, which was one of the reasons we selected them. During this tour we were able to trot along the beach, and even get into the water with our horses. This was a life-long dream of mine to ride a horse along the beach and it has been truly great to realize this dream with Sandy Hoofs team! Our tour guide was also fantastic, very friendly, and great conversations as well. Sandy Hooves might not be the biggest business for this kind of thing on the island, but if you want to support a great St Lucian small business then please go to them (and bring cash for tips too). They take phenomenal care of their horses, they have such a devotion to their animals, and showing tourists a great time on their island. If you like horse riding, you will love this! - Totally recommend Sandy Hoofs. Being passionate about animal welfare, I researched horse riding in St Lucia before booking and I wasn't disappointed, the horses are well cared for, Keri and the guides were fabulous. The ride took in beautiful scenery before arriving at our first sandy bay and the opportunity to canter/gallop along the sand, my guide made sure I was comfortable to do so and the horse Teflon was fabulous. We rode on along a stoney track taking in great views to our destination, another lovely sandy beach and an exhilarating canter/gallop before riding into the sea. An amazing experience, one of the highlights of the holiday. If you like horses and horse riding you will love this!

Great experience! - My new husband and I had a great experience getting to do something new for the both of us! Not many places you can say you swam in the ocean bareback on a horse.

Amazing - When we booked this, neither of us had any riding experience but we were made to feel so at ease. Jordon was a brilliant guide told us so much about the island and even got a fresh coconut down from a tree so we could drink the water. We then went swimming with our cheeky horse Teflon while my horse Diamond had some snacking time. It's an experience we will never forget.

Amazing experience - Tevin was our tour guide for this excursion and he was absolutely amazing! The views are stunning. We got to ride the horses on the beach, in the water, and he took us to a higher hill so we could get an even prettier view and for pics. They had two dogs come a long the entire way, they were so cute! Definitely a must do! Bring cash do for tip! ☺️

An experience dreams are made of - As an activity I had always wanted to do, it was everything I had wanted it to be. We called ahead to say we'd be late and were still given our full ride time. Our guide was helpful and happy to chat along the way. Perhaps the horse pairing could have been better as they occasionally were antagonistic towards each other, meaning it was hard to get into the water confidently, but the challenge that brought as a rider was also enjoyable. The beach was almost entirely deserted and yet gorgeous, making it feel very special. Make sure to suncream up as the sun beats down on you pretty much the whole time!
