CCV6+7G Parham Town - Guests are received at their desired staring point and shuttled in air conditioned comfort with historical information about the scenic drive to and from The Pottery Garden (coastal and ridge road). On arrival Potter/Instructor Karl Burnett gives an introduction of the grounds and himself as a ceramic artist. In the workshop, Karl explains the basics of pottery “hand building” techniques and then demonstrates making different shaped pieces on the potter’s wheel. Now, it is your chance to get your hands in the clay! Have a try at the potter’s wheel or hand build your own creation! After all the clay play fun, Karl shows you about his outdoor wood fired kiln and tropical garden. Browse through the studio gallery of beautiful handcrafted pottery on sale and get yourself a lovely reminder of your trip to The Virgin Islands. Enjoy viewing our exhibit of wildlife craft in various media from around the world. Watch the wildlife at Josiah’s Bay salt water pond and see beautiful Josiah’s Bay beach before being shuttled back to your starting point.

5 Star Pottery Class - We truly enjoyed every second of our pottery class. Amazing customer service, great vibes, and a dope experience. Karl is the absolute best! In addition to learning how to use the pottery wheel, we also learnt so much more about the history of the island.

Best Cruise Excursion - This was the BEST excursion we have ever done on a cruise. We were really nervous not booking through the cruise line, but so thankful we took the chance on this experience. Karl was fantastic! The Pottery Garden is a beautiful respite. We are history buffs and also really enjoyed the driving tour of the island and in depth history. We plan on selecting this tour again when we head back to Tortola. This is a phenomenal experience!! Thank you Karl!

An Unforgettable Family Experience - This is a must when visiting Tortola. From start to finish Karl made this an unforgettable experience. His insightful commentary on the island's history and landmarks during the journey to and from his studio adds an extra layer of delight. The pottery session itself was a relaxed and enjoyable experience. Karl expertly guides you through the entire clay-throwing process, offering hands-on assistance as needed. Our family, including my 8 and 10-year-olds, created amazing pieces! We wish we could have stayed longer at his studio but had to make sure to catch our cruise ship. Karl's enthusiasm for pottery has sparked a new passion in us. Already planning to explore local pottery experiences back home. Thanks, Karl, for a memorable time!

A full experience beyond expectations! - I simply cannot explain enough as to how amazing Karl was, with the cultural tour of the island, and the private pottery tour! His in depth knowledge of both areas was beyond my expectations, and will be talking about this for years to come!

Such a great experience - Went with two friends while visiting home and we had such a great time. Karl was an absolutely hilarious and friendly guy who made the night so enjoyable. He did a wonderful job of teaching us what we needed to know while supporting us and giving us the space to make something truly unique. Would 100% recommend The Pottery Garden to anyone looking to learn pottery or just those looking to have a good time with some friends.

Pottery worth the adventure - Our family of 7 ventured to Josiah's garden to experience hands on pottery. He was so knowledgeable and made it quite the adventure to either literally do hands-on wheel or hands on table. We did half and half. It was a fun break from water activities and close to fun surf beach and bar afterwards.

A great time! - Wow, what a great time! My partner and I booked the day before and Karl was quick to respond to our initial inquiries.
The space itself is beautiful and Karl provides a very relaxing, low
- pressure teaching by environment. He has a great sense of humor and we had a lot of fun.
We are very pleased with our pieces and all in all considering it was just the 2 of us, the pricing seems more than reasonable.
