Our next stop is Las Coloradas, a section of the lagoon recognized for decades-long sea salt extraction. This spot is also home to the country’s second-largest salt manufacturing facility. Be ready with your camera as this place is famous for the unimaginably beautiful hues of its pink lagoon water. After our exploration at Rio Lagartos, you’re likely to be somewhat peckish. Your guide will lead you to a local eating joint where you can satiate your appetite with a delectable meal.
