Great value - Our guide was very knowledgeable, each of the events was amazing & I loved every minute. The one hiccup was at the pick up. When they called my name to board the bus, I assumed they would also call my husband's name & he almost got left behind. They only call the name of the person who bought the tickets. But thanks to the bus driver who let my husband on before taking off!

Lovely day out - We all loved this trip. The volcano hike is quite hard going, very slippy in places but worth it for the views. The swim in the thermal springs was good although they aren’t hot, just a few degrees warmer than the sea. Stopping at Thirassa was nice but too long unless you want another 20/25 min hike up a very steep path to get to the village. There are only a handful of places to eat along the shore and it isn’t a beach, just rocks so I don’t think you could swim in the sea personally although a couple of people did. On the way back we sailed right up close to Oia and the tour guide explained everything we could see which was great. We sailed along the coast all the way back. This says it’s a 6hr tour but we were collected close to our hotel at 8.45am and were dropped off at just after 5pm. I would recommend it

Santorini Experience - Perissa - We stayed in Perissa (Gardinia Hotel) which was cosy and welcoming. The staff couldn’t do enough for you. Our trip lasted 11 nights and really didn’t want to come home. There are many places to go and see either by using organised trips (which can be expensive) or use quad bikes/golf type buggy (€120 - 2days). Thira & Oia are extremely busy during the summer seasons due to many tourists visiting these places, including ocean liners that come into port. We travelled through them but didn’t stay as was just to busy.! The night life is there if you want it along the beach front with many cocktail bars and restaurants, some also have live music (check out Waves Bar). However if you just want a lazy evening chilling there are also local restaurants and bars along the Main Street in Perissa. Bobs Bar is great for live sport ( cocktails are fab too). There is a 24hr bakery further down from Bobs bar which sell all types of bread rolls, cakes, ice cream etc - delicious. All in all we would recommend this amazing place and not that expensive as it has been made out to be. For example beer €4 (pint) nearly everywhere, cocktails vary but mainly €8-€14 on the sea front. Meals for 2 adults were working out around €40-€50 incl drinks. If you want to see and experience the amazing sunset on the ocean, don’t bother travelling all the way to Oia, we found the perfect spot 10 minutes outside of Perissa at the Caldera Sunset View Restaurant. You can get a bus/taxi but unsure of the cost as we used our dune buggy. If you’re looking for that magical/romantic moment this is the place to be. I hope this review will help you decide whether to visit magical Santorini -

Value for money !! - Really good value for money - and so convenient to be collected and dropped off - only thing I can say is, they were a bit disorganised when we disembarked - we had no idea what bus to get on, and ended getting quite lost, we eventually had to get off in Kamara, instead of Vlychada, because the driver didn't tell us we were on the wrong bus! Cost us 35Euros to find our way back - but the trip was wonderful - was great to swim in the Hot Springs - wine was flowing - and the weather was great - onboard staff were lovely too!

Awesome - The hike up the volcano was a workout but worth it. Very nice views of the area. I really enjoyed the group of people that I met on this excursion.

Not worth the Time - Agents for Viator , Santos Star were unorganized and could not find our reservation. I would suggest that you print out your confirmation as Santos has no public Wi-Fi. After looking at our information and calling someone they found that we were registered for the tour . I would not recommend this tour to the volcano and hot spring as getting to the top of the volcano was a difficult climb and while the view of Santorini surrounding islands was spectacular the volcano itself was just a rock creator. The swim at the hot spring required jumping off a boat and a swim of over 30 yards before you got to the hot springs. There are no changing rooms on the boat! The best part of the tour was having lunch at an overpriced restaurant on a small island. There are better tours of Santorini or you can just make your way to the island and take the cable car to the village . Also due to the length of the tour I would not recommend the tour for cruise ship passengers.

Bad experience - I didn’t get to attend my tour. When I booked I paid for the tour with pick up option. I selected to be picked up at my hotel. A day before they send me a pick location which was 30 minutes away from my hotel. I tried to contact the tour company but they didn’t respond back until the day of the tour with “I’m sorry you missed you pick up time” I explain to them that I didn’t had transportation and I needed to be picked up but all they responded back was we can reschedule. I agreed to reschedule for next day and I never heard back from them.

Poor experience - My family and I were unable to participate because the bus departed before the initially scheduled pickup time. We missed the opportunity to participate in the excursion due to the lack of transparency regarding the pickup time. We were under the impression that the pickup time was at 9:30, as advertised, but it turned out to be at 8:55, causing us to miss the initial bus pickup. Be advised they will not refund you.
