A great feature of Mapping Himalayas is that they arrange solo treks, so in this female body, you feel cared for and pro - The Shopta trek, which includes Deoriatal, Chandrasila, and Tungnath, was incredible. The guys arranged everything possible for me to have good food according to my strictly vegetarian diet, without sugar, only brown rice and other details. They made a great effort to prepare tasty, fresh, and very simple meals. The lodging was simple, but good for the circumstances, even though the bathrooms always leave something to be desired in terms of cleanliness. As for the trek itself and its landscapes... well, the Himalayas are something else entirely in the world of high mountains! Here you breathe the history of the saints, the history of the Avatars of Vishnu, Nara Narayana Rishi, Rama, and of Shiva, Kartikeya, Hanuman... and so many others. The Himalayas are breathtakingly beautiful, and hiking these trails is a great pleasure, but it requires good stamina.
A great feature of Mapping Himalayas is that they arrange solo treks, so in this female body, you feel cared for and protected. Try to arrive very early at Lake Deorital, so you won't have to pay the entrance fee, which isn't very cheap. The ascent to Tungnath early in the morning requires good acclimatization if you are sensitive to altitude, but the scenery in Chandrasila is breathtaking. The temple has a very strong and sacred atmosphere, don't miss going inside the temple! After Shopta, we extended our trip to Kartik Swamy!! This mountain peak has a 360-degree view of the Himalayas and is very impressive and full of spiritual energy. The homestay here is very interesting, with very kind people. Afterwards, we continued to Bhadrinathji and Vasudhara waterfall. I visited the temple and we went on a 14 km (round trip) trek to the waterfall, passing by the source of the Sarasvati River. Everything here emanates from the Mahabharata, and if you have any knowledge of the history, it all becomes very intense. The inhabitants of the village of Sari are very cheerful and welcoming, making for a very interesting experience.
You have to take into account that it's also many hours of driving, but our driver was, let's say... very skilled and also... very fast! So we arrived faster than would normally have been. I sincerely thank everyone involved, especially my personal guide, Ankush, who did everything possible and perhaps even the unimaginable to make this trip unforgettable in the best sense of the word. Namaste... Dhad (:

Great few day trek! - Overall great experience! I went as a solo female traveler and I felt well looked after and safe the whole time! The home cooked meals were amazing and it was a very fun few days! It’s about a 5/6 hour drive from rishikesh. The hikes were beautiful! Avoid the monsoon season if you can. Would definitely recommend if you want a few days in nature. It’s well organized. Don’t forget your hiking boots!

Breakfasts and lunches at roadside restaurants on the way up and back, hiking poles, jackets, water, everything one could possibly need throughout. Really a wonderful trip. Particular thanks to our guide Ankush. He was great energy, kind, caring, and professional. Great hiking, neat packed lunches, incredible value. Wonderful group of 4 plus Ankush and driver (also great guy). Big Thanks for the Experience.

טרק מהמם עם מדריך מקסים, ראול (מוגלי😉) - The trek is amazing in its beauty. The agency is very professional in its approach, organization and hospitality. I felt that we were taken care of generously, with food, equipment, they gaves us everything we needed so will have warm safe trek. and in general to give as much fun as possible. We went out with Raul the guide, or Mowgli as we called him, a real mountain boy, experienced in the trails, with good English and a big heart. I really enjoyed it. I highly recommend the agency and the trek.

Fantastic experience! Highly recommended! - We did the Chopta Trek at the end of February, which we thoroughly enjoyed. Our guides Aditya (aka Adi) and Rahul (aka Musafir) were excellent. Every minute detail was planned meticulously. The pickups were on time, equipment provided was of good quality (gaiters, crampons, walking sticks) and the accommodation was simple but clean. Nothing was too much trouble. Adi and Musafir took good care of us, providing us with help and support whenever needed during the trek. They were very patient, good natured, enthusiastic and respectful. They had excellent knowledge of the geography and the history of the region; enthralling us with tales from Indian mythology, providing context to the names and the significance of different areas throughout the trek. The stay in the tent at Deoriatal was comfortable, clean and the location was awe-inspiring. The highlight of the trek apart from the magnificent views of the Himalayas, was the excellent home cooked meals. The delicious hot meals were much anticipated during the trek! Chef Akhilesh, ably supported by Aditya and Rahul made each mealtime a special occasion. Anil is a very confident but careful and able driver and we felt very safe driving through the narrow roads with hair pin bends. Overall, it was an excellent experience and one that we will cherish for years to come. Thank you to the entire team at Mapping The Himalayas for making the trek very memorable. Until next time! :-)
