As the tour progresses towards the glacier lagoon, travelers will journey through Iceland’s South Coast, a region renowned for its stunning waterfalls, dramatic black sands, expansive glaciers, and volcanoes nestled among farmlands. The tour provides unforgettable vistas of the Skaftafell wilderness area within Vatnajokull National Park and traverses the striking black sand plains of Skeidararsandur. Before arriving at the lagoon, there is also an opportunity to view Oraefajokull, Iceland’s largest active volcano.
