This small-group experience is limited to 6 participants per guide, ensuring personalized attention and a safe, unforgettable, bucket-list adventure.
- Minimum age is 12 years old. Participants under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or adult guardian booked on the same tour.
- PLEASE BRING: Warm base layers, preferably made from fleece or wool (not cotton), warm socks, a small towel and a change of clothes (just in case)
- All guests must carefully review our Snorkeling Handbook before the tour to make sure everyone can safely participate>
- All participants must be able to swim and understand English to be able to safely participate in the tour
- This is a small group tour ensuring a more personalized experience limited to 6 participants per guide.
- Size Requirements: Weight limit: 45-120kg. Height limit: 150cm – 200cm.
- Glasses cannot be worn under the goggles. Please bring contact lenses if required.
- Pregnant women are unfortunately unable to participate due to the risk of cold water entering the suit.
- Medical issues outlined in our handbook require doctors approval to join the tour. Some conditions mean guests cannot participate.

Silfra Snorkeling... wow - It was an incredible experience, a bit extreme because of the cold. But once you get used to it, you can enjoy a fantastic view. Our instructor, Nico, was the best—very professional and attentive to us the whole time.

Once in a lifetime - Adrien is an amazing guide to am amazing underwater adventure. Cold water warm vibes. Majestic views. 1st snowfall of the season in October made it even more spectacular.

Don't miss this chance to snorkel. - Driver from Reykjavik to the dive was full of historical information and insight. Our guide, Marketa, led us to all the best spots and informed us in advance about what to look for. Awesome experience!

Snorkel Tour - Highly Recommend - What a great experience for 2 reasons: 1st - Fede was an amazing guide and made this experience epic! Fede was patient, helpful, optimistic, amazing, our photographer, and professional. She took such great care of our group from getting us ready, to ensuring we were confident in the water, and to helping us wrap up the snorkle. Grazie Fede!! 2nd - what a great adventure to snorkel between the plates in crystal clear water. The landscape is nothing I have seen before. I was concerned about the cold but I felt warm in the dry suite. Only my face was chilly but was quickly forgotten for the beaty of seeing the landscape. Highly recommend this adventure and highly recommend Artic Adventures.

Carol made Silfra unforgettable! - Absolutely loved snorkeling in Silfra! The experience was amazing, but our instructor Carol made it unforgettable — super lovely, funny, and instructive, always smiling and making sure we had a great time. Unbelievable experience - Dominika, our guide, made sure that we were prepared for and enjoyed what is an unbelievable experience! She had us suited up - quite challenging in a dry suit - and with our fins, mask and snorkel, we ‘waddled’ off to the entrance of the fissure. WOW! The cold water was so clear and what we saw was otherworldly! Along the way, Dominika checked on us and provided interesting facts. We can’t praise her enough! Thoroughly recommend!!!

Terrible - I joined the Silfra snorkeling tour with Arctic Adventures, but my experience was ruined by the guide, Andrew. While I was completely comfortable in the water, he suddenly pulled me out without any clear explanation or instruction. I was confused and embarrassed, and no one offered to help me remove the heavy, freezing wetsuit afterward.
I later contacted the agency to understand what happened, but they refused to explain or issue a refund. I’m still unsure why I was removed from the water when I was doing fine — I’m a confident swimmer and had no issues at all.
This was one of the most disappointing moments of my trip. I expected professionalism and support, but instead felt dismissed and ignored. I hope Arctic Adventures trains their guides to communicate better and treat guests with respect.
