Just do it! - Special thanks to Tomasz (our driver) and Ioannis-John (our dive instructor) for making this experience so magical! Tomasz was funny and gave us some bits and pieces of information during the ride, making the ride to and from interesting. Ioannis-John ensured our safety and took great photos! Highly recommended!

Amazing experience - Sara was amazing and the fissure snorkeling was the highlight of the trip! If you are on the fence you need to go, the views are like nothing else.

Silfra Snorkeling - If you are looking for a unique experience in Iceland would highly recommend this! Our guide, Jenny, was amazing and truly made you feel so comfortable throughout! To be able to experience this felt like a once in lifetime moment!

Fascinating Snorkel Experience! - Great experience! The water was incredibly clear and the visibility was excellent. The dry suits and underlayers provided were sufficient to keep our bodies warm, and I quickly grew accustomed to the cold water on my lower face. Our guide Afonso was very attentive with our small group, and took numerous digital photos which we received afterwards. It was a great and unique experience!

Incredible - Incredible experience! Our snorkelling guide Yannis was patient and calm and took great photos, our bus driver Franklin gave us the most entertaining bus trip I've had in years! Snorkelling the clear beautiful water was peaceful, beautiful and dramatic, thanks for a lovely day

Snorkeling done right - Snorkeling between the two tectonic plates was an incredible experience. Caroline was an amazing guide who gave us clear instructions on what to do and expect. Midway through the guide, Caroline stopped and took photos of us between the plates, which are breathtaking. Would 10/10 recommend to anyone to go do this adventure.

Amazing but I can see how bad reviews have happened - Absolutely perfect experience. Having read reviews the night before I got a little nervous. We had absolutely stunning weather. To the point it was very hot geared up. Thankfully we were first up to enter the water. But it didn't seem like there was a long wait for anyone. While some reviews call out guides as being bad I feel like it's a cultural differences issue. You will not be babied gearing up. I've snorkeled but never worn a wet suit let alone dry suit. Common sense and listening skills go far. Can you put on a onesie? Excellent you can do the base layer with no actual instructions. The dry suit is handed to you with a simple "feet first and pull to waist". I heard a customer mention the suit was already wet and the guide gave them a new one. Our guide got us situated for the more technical parts one by one. Again, clear instructions of each step. She was attentive to making sure the silicone parts were in perfect position. I could see if you rush ahead you may not have the best seal. I am not one to travel during the busy seasons specifically because I hate crowds and lines. I could see if you go in a busier month having much longer waits in the uncomfortable gear. Now on to the good stuff and practical advice.
I am very sensitive to temperature and restrictive or itchy clothing (NOT claustrophobic). The only temp uncomfortableness was before entering the water because of how warm it was this day. I started to get a bit chilled at the very end. The duration is spot on. One finger got very cold on each hand by the end. Water only came in to my gloves which they warned us of before starting. Legitimately wanting to complete this excursion goes a long way in tolerating the discomfort. You are extremely bouyant in the suit and it is very easy to purposely barrel roll. The one thing I wish was different is NO flippers. While great on every other snorkel I've done they were extremely cumbersome in this setting and essentially went unused. Getting out and undressed was a faster process.
Long story short, read the bad reviews to know the worst to expect. Use some common sense and listening skills to closely follow directions. The days weather COULD greatly change your personal experience. Absolutely glad I did this tour but is the only one I would not do again. Simply because while amazing to see once, it was pretty basic scenery without fishes (duh). Gave 5 stars to offset the negativity and also because I don't know how the actual experience could be better.
