We meet up at Ingólfur Square by the two stone pillars (3 meters high). Just go to Center Hotel Plaza at Aðalstræti 6 and then you see the square in front. We recommend using Google Maps as the Icelandic street names can be tricky. The Square is straight down from Laugavegur the main shopping street

Eat your way through the city - Enjoyed the variety of food throughout the tour. Our guide was good at explaining the history of each establishment and food we were sampling. We loved that he included personal stories of how he and his family lived out the traditions. Recommend doing the food tour on first days of your visit as it is a great introduction to the culture and food of the area.

Great tour - Ester E. was a wonderful guide for our food tour. She gave us a lot of interesting info about Icelandic history, culture, and of course, food. Was a very enjoyable tour.

Love this tour - This trip and our guide were awesome. Food was delicious! I thought the market was more like a flea market than a grocery market but the trip was still great.

Fun food tour - It was a great tour and Oli was a great guide. We tried a wide variety of Icelandic dishes and most memorable was the shark. Not too much walking but up and down stairs in the restaurants which could be difficult with mobility issues. Oli took pics of the group which was nice

A great start to our trip - We had a blast exploring he city and trying some new things. We did this tour on the afternoon of the day we arrived and it knocked out any jet lag we might have had. I highly recommend this tour and would do it again!

Great way to introduce the foods in Reykjavik. - Special thanks to Einar who took us on a wonderful tour to try different foods. After a week of being there, we finally had a day with blue skies showing through. We enjoyed the variety of foods we were able to try and the market. This is definitely a tour to take, but maybe earlier in the week. We had to reschedule due to travel delays, but at least we got the tour in. **Try the fermented Shark**

Amazing Icelandic food tasting experience - Had a ball trying Icelandic food that I would never order on my own. Got to stop at a candy store, flea market, and several restaurants to do tastings. Well worth the money. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and made for a fun experience. I cannot remember his name but he is featured in the pics.

Worthwhile tour in Reykjavik - Food tour was enjoyable and nice range of foods were provided on tour. Guide was knowledgable and was able to successfully navigate a couple of glitches that were presented by the food establishments. Tour was able to accommodate the food allergy issues of several participants. Various points of interest also highlighted during the tour. Helped to navigate the area later when sightseeing. Would definitely recommend.

10/10 experience - Tour guide Stefan was amazing! Started off late but he was a wonderful speaker and had lots of great stories of the history of Iceland. I'm not so sure why viator had flea market advertised but we did stop at a local shop and sampled some local Icelandic treats. Tour was very fun and would definitely go back just for the hotdog lol. Also tour could go longer then expected so make sure not have to much planned the day of your tour.
