Spectacular - well worth visiting - We really enjoyed our visit and learned a lot. The exhibit is fabulously well done and very interactive. The life size models of the whales are spectacular. There was a film screening going on while we were there which was also excellent. All in all, we were very impressed and would definitely reccommend visiting if you are in Reykjavík.

Life size reproductions - Any fan of cetaceans will enjoy this museum, not only because of the life-size reproductions of the whales that are seen in Icelandic waters, but also because of the rest of the material (videos, books, there are even training programs available to visitors on freely accessible computers).

Fantastic Museum - Fantastic Museum! Staff very helpful explaining the museum when we went in. The film really hits home about what damage boats do to the whales & their ability to communicate. Displays were really good, whales were huge! Well worth a visit.

A MUST for families with children - A must for children and adults can definitely learn a lot too. Impressive exhibition with animals that can be seen in the hall in their original size. There is a scavenger hunt for children and it is a great place to spend a rainy day.

Well worth a visit - the scale of these creatures is something else! - Unusual, but well worth visiting. A little expensive perhaps for what it is, but enjoyable nonetheless. Great life-size whale models which are pretty spectacular to stand next to (or underneath!) and an educational documentary showing on a huge screen in a separate area of the museum.

A really good half day - The background video was really good and lasted around an hour. The tour which was advertised for 3pm seemed slightly unorganised. Was told it was like an on request thing which made me feel a little awkward. Although it did take place no problem and was fairly good. Overall it is probably priced about right for the experience. A good few hours and I would definitely recommend it for families or adults.

Highly Informational - This attraction was highly informational. I would suggest listening to the audible tour. My daughter took part in the scavenger hunt and really enjoyed herself. The life size models of the whales are very well done.

Disappointed - I normally love to go to museums especially when they are ocean related. The models themselves are impressive but that’s as far as the wow factor goes. A little disappointing for the price.

Just a lot of model whales - no Wows! - This was just a large warehouse with models of whales to look at. A room at the back showing a video about Whales and the impact humans are having in them… a bit dull (and sadly depressing of course). We struggled to spend 30mins in total as nothing much to see. Staff were a bit rude and looked bored/fed up. Expensive waste of money.
