• Thingvellir National Park - The first destination of the day is Þingvellir National Park, where visitors can explore Thingvellir Lake, Iceland’s second-largest, and walk along a rift where the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates converge.

This park is also renowned as the site of Althing, the world’s first parliament, established in 930 AD. The park’s name, Þingvellir (meaning “Fields of the Parliament”), is derived from this historical significance. If time permits, the guide will accompany visitors to the Öxarárfoss Waterfall, which cascades into the rift and merges with Thingvellir Lake.

• Efstidalur II - The next stop is Efstidalur Farm, where visitors can see Icelandic cattle and enjoy delicious locally made ice cream. This farm has been family-operated since 1750. Ice cream lovers can indulge in any flavor of their choice, compliments of the tour.

The crater spans approximately 270 meters in width and 55 meters in depth, with a striking blue-green lake at its base. The red and orange hues of the crater’s walls contrast beautifully with the surrounding green moss and black volcanic rock, making it a popular tourist destination for its unique natural beauty.
