Highlights
  • Thingvellir National Park - One of the most interesting locations in Iceland due to its geological and historical importance. It holds the meeting of the American and Eurasian tectonic plates, but also this place was chosen to celebrate the general assembly, this is where Iceland’s parliament was founded in 930 A.D.
  • Oxararfoss - Even though this beautiful waterfall is not one of the biggest in the country, it is one of the Icelandic people’s most well-loved waterfalls due to its location and for its historical significance
  • Efstidalur II - We will visit Efstidalur dairy farm for some ice cream and also to visit Icelandic cows and other animals.
  • Geysir - Geysir geothermal area is quite stunning where you witness the geyser Strokkur erupts every five minutes.
  • Gullfoss Waterfall - The thundering Gullfoss waterfall tops many lists as a powerful and hypnotizing natural phenomenon
  • Fridheimar - After having lunch (not included) at this tomato farm, we will gain an insight into the processes of greenhouse horticulture, with a short and informative talk on the subject.
Also, Friðheimar breeds Icelandic horses, so we will be able to see and pet a couple of them.
  • Kerid Crater - It is one of several crater lakes in the area, known as Iceland’s Western Volcanic Zone, which includes the Reykjanes peninsula and the Langjökull Glacier, created as the land moved over a localized hotspot, but it is the one that has the most visually recognizable caldera still intact.

Great tour, great guide, and a great way to see a lot in one day! - This was a great tour! Bjorn was engaging, knowledgable, and funny. He provided plenty of information and answered questions as they came. I felt like we had enough time (15-60 minutes depending on the stop) everywhere we went, especially since it was a packed day. I traveled solo but the small group made it easier to chat with people, particularly at the tomato farm. In addition to all of the amazing natural sites, we met some friendly dogs, lambs, and horses. The extra stops at the dairy and tomato farm made this tour stand out from other golden circle trips. This has been the best part of my trip!

Amazing Tours - Well Worth It - I’m so glad I booked this tour! I was nervous about taking a tour, but the East West small group tours are amazing. You have ample time to see everything and truly experience the wonders of Iceland. If you’re lucky, you’ll get a tour with Leroy who was phenomenal! I also did the South Coast Tour with Leroy and it was amazing as well. The beauty of Iceland’s South Coast is breathtaking.

Great way to explore Iceland - Great way to explore Iceland. The smaller bus tour was fantastic, very informative and gave a great history of the area. Being on the smaller bus meant that it was able to stop at different spots to take in the views, the driver was very good at allowing us to get our photos.

Beautiful day! - Helli was absolutely amazing. We had a wonderful experience and saw so many interesting sights. The dairy farm and the tomato farm were definitely highlights and not places that that everyone gets to go. Helli was very knowledgeable , it was a special treat that he is Icelandic and was able to share so many stories from his life.

beautiful Islandic landscape - This was such a perfect tour to take to enjoy the Islandic landscape from a comfortable small bus. We went to a beautiful waterfall.....we just ran to it took a picture and went back to the warm bus. I spent a lot of money at two beautiful gift shops and I was happy to do so. We went to see a geyser ..but unfortunately for us, the eruption was small because it was a very windy day. It was a fun day but I think the highlight for my sisters and I was the tomato farm....where we learned about how hydroponic tomato plants are grown....how this process is done....and then we enjoyed delicious, albeit expensive tomato soup. It was about $25 ...pricey but you were allowed to have unlimited bowls and unlimited delicious bread to go along with it....so that was great. There were beautiful Islandic horses to see at the dairy farm with yummy ice cream. We tasted the licorice flavor......all in all I would recommend going on this tour.

Golden Circle March 2024 - Our guide David was awesome on our golden circle tour. He was so knowledgeable and enthusiastic about Iceland and everything we saw. My family and I were in a group of about 12 people. The car/bus was comfortable. Each stop was so cool, our favorites were the geothermal area with the geyser and lunch at a tomato farm with the best tomato soup I’ve ever had.

Incredible experience 🌟 - The tour was amazing. Our guide, Martín was very knowledgeable and extremely patient. (And funny 😆), we had the perfect time to enjoy at each location and weren’t disappointed ! We had restroom breaks, coffee/ice cream, and the tomato farm is something ! For the different spots we visited.. I will let the pics speak for themselves ! Then to finish, the crater which.. to be honest looks surreal ! Thank you for this experience, would definitely book it back ! 😊🙏

Fresh food, gorgeous views, knowledgeable guide - Our tour guide Andre was lovely. Very knowledgeable and humorous. We were a family of 4 including a 5yo and a 7yo, and everything was accessible for them, although ours are very high-energy so we did have to keep reminding them to be attentive to where they were stepping. The park was great, and not so cold. The waterfall is on top of everything with nothing to block the wind, so wow that was a cold wind! I wore thicker jeans and knee high socks under them with wool socks and Sperry duck boots and was warm enough. The only thing I'd bring different was gloves that you can use with your phone/camera, bc it's cold to take off your gloves! The waterfall was so beautiful. We got sprayed by the geyser! And then watched another eruption from the other side and stayed dry. It goes off frequently, so you can see it multiple times! The tomato restaurant was amazing. On vacation it's easy to eat meat and bread at restaurants, so to have all the freshest vegetables was a wonderful treat. My daughter got to pet a horse too and was so thrilled. We got to walk all the way to the bottom of the crater, very close up. The stops were well timed for seeing everything without freezing. Also well timed for eating and bathroom breaks. The van was clean and comfy. Couldn't have asked for better!
