The Rock’ n’ Roll Museum of Iceland is a fun, hands-on exhibit suitable for all ages, showcasing the history of Iceland’s prevailing music scene. The museum unfolds the tale of Icelandic music from the 19th century up to the present-day hitmakers like Björk, Of Monsters and Men, Sigur Rós, Kaleo, amongst others, following a chronological outline.
A recent extension to the museum introduces an astounding interactive journey through the musical history of your beloved Icelandic artists. The ‘Interactive LP Player’, lets you choose and play an album that narrates the life-story of renowned Icelandic artists such as Björk, Sigur Rós, and Of Monsters and Men and guides you through their musical careers on a large display wall.
In addition, you can also experiment with some iconic Icelandic tunes in the much-liked “Sound Lab”, equipped with electric guitars, an electronic drum kit, and a dedicated karaoke singing booth for your musical adventure.
