Must see sights - We couldn’t come to Crete and not see the palace of Knossos, but the Disneyfied way it was “restored” by Sir Arthur Evans left me feeling rather sad. The museum in Heraklion more than made up for it though - this was worth so much more that the extra 5 euros on the admission tickets. The treasures from the palace on display in there are breathtaking. Heraklion itself is an attractive and interesting city, good to walk around. Our guide Anastasia did a great job, giving lots of useful and interesting information in 2 languages. She was also very helpful and friendly, as well as clear on instructions for meeting the coach on return.

A guided tour of the city would have been great. But despite everything, it was very well organized. The tour guide was friendly - A guided tour of the city would have been great. But despite everything, it was very well organized. The tour guide was friendly and we felt comfortable.

Great tour and friendly staff! - I was a bit reluctant to do tours, but this one was really good! Because it's in a small group and in a mini bus, we managed to see a lot of the mountains and inland of Crete, which is beautiful. We had a great time at the Kournás lake (try the pedal boat!), and at the other locations we've visited. The guide and driver were both really nice, and gave us interesting information around the places we visited.

Good - Knossos was lovely but our guide did not come in with us or even give us a map of the site so we had to find out information and layout ourselves. Heraklion was good, enjoyed the archeological museum a lot. Had nice lunch and enough time to do some shopping. Had to pick up and drop of ALOT of people so it took an hour just to get out of Rethymnon and back in again.

to do once! - What I liked most about the excursion was the Guide Georges! a great knowledge of 3 languages and kindness! the museum in Heraklion was a bit disappointing, it was a good 10 minutes but after that you only see little things in the windows, it's a bit meh...The palace of Knossos is very beautiful but doing that in 32 degrees I regretted it a little...it is currently being rebuilt, I will return there in 30 years! hahahah ....otherwise the price is reasonable for adults between 25 and 65 years old it's 20+15 euros and young people and students only pay 20 euros for the bus for the rest it's free for them! It was nevertheless a good day!
