Fabulous wine tasting tour out of Wellington - This was such an amazing day. Tom is such a wonderfully relaxed and knowledgeable guy who loves showing people wine country around Martinborough. His commentary throughout the day made this a truly memorable experience. Our wine tasting at Le Gra and lunch provided by Nicky Geary and Brian was delightful. The rose was particularly tasty. Later, at Johner Estate, we were surprised with freshly picked grapes in addition to the delicious wines. Our stop at Poppies was so much fun. The Sauvignon Semillon was something we don’t usually seek out, but this one was really good. Since Tom heard that we were Lord of the Rings fans, on the way back to Wellington, he stopped at Kaitoke Regional Park where Rivendell scenes were filmed. That was a real treat. Tom seems to know everyone, and they know him. If we ever make it back to New Zealand, we will certainly book his Foodie Delights Tour. Thanks for an unforgettable day!

A Day of Wining 😊 - What an amazing day!! My husband and I didn’t really notice the word ‘private’ in the description of our tour…so were surprised when it was just the two of us and Tom. He really made us feel special. Tom is very knowledgeable, friendly and a great person to spend a day with. Brian and Nicky at Le Gra winery host a really nice tasting and lunch, and shared a lot of information about their operation. We met the owner at Johner’s, and Poppies winery was elegant and fun. We saw a lot of the countryside with a few stops at some scenic and interesting places. Would highly recommend this tour.

An Incredible Day with Kaewa Tours. - Tom and Jill were delightfull hosts. The Bees in Featherston, fascinating, the scenery of the south, amazing, but best of all was the delicious fine food accompanied with an exquisite wine at Poppies in Martinborough will stay in our "memory banks" for many a year.

Martinborough Wine Tour - We (3 couples) recently had the pleasure of experiencing a Martinborough wine tour with Tom, and it exceeded all expectations! The picturesque vineyards, coupled with the expert guidance of our tour guide Tom, made for an unforgettable day. From a fantastic lunch platter at one of the wineries to personal commentary from a number of family run wineries and winemakers was just one of many exceptional elements that Tom organised for us. Tom went above and beyond to be helpful. Thank you Tom.

Charming wine tour experience! - A long overdue review! My friend and I had an excellent full day wine tour led by Tom. He was very knowledgable and friendly. He gave us a fantasic introduction to local wines followed by tastings that were out of this world. Lunch at one of the wineries was extrmely impressive too. The surrounding areas located around the wineries are quaint and charming. We even got to check out a local bee farm! The best part was that Tom picked us up from our hotel and dropped us back off happy and so glad that we chose him as a tour guide. Tom has a great sense of humor and I highly recommend checking out this experience! This tour is wonderful from start to finish and I live in the surrounding Napa Valley area. It is a unique experience coming from a picturesque wine paradise.

Must Do Wine Tour - I recently did a Kaewa Tours full day Wairarapa wine tour with Tom the Owner of Kaewa Tours. From when I first booked the tour until he dropped us off at the end of the day the experience was first class. When I first booked my tour Tom sent a personalised video message thanking me for choosing to book with Kaewa Tours. This was a great personalised customer touch which we appreciated. When Tom picked us up he did a full Health and Safety briefing and explained any potential risks or hazards we may encounter during the day. Our first winery we visited was Le Gra just north of Masterton. The owner and winemaker Nicky provided us with a beautiful platter lunch and amazing wines. Nicky’s Husband Brian is the Viticulturist and spent time with us explaining what’s involved with vine management. It was great to meet passionate owners who were happy to spend time with us. Our second winery we visited was Johner Estate in Gladstone. The drive out to Johner was very scenic and the wines did not disappoint! Kat from Johner took us through a wide range of wines and there were all very good. We finished in Martinborough where we sampled exquisite wines at Poppies and finished our full day wine tour with the very humorous Shawn Brown the Owner/Winemaker at Muirlea Rise. When Tom dropped us off he gave us a lovely gift in appreciation of booking with him which we thought was a lovely gesture. Overall it was a top notch day and we highly recommend Tom form Kaewa Tours.

Great wine tour and perfect day! - Our wine trip was amazing! Tom was very friendly, informative and flexible. He gave us tons of information on sites along the way explaining the history and stopping for pics. We enjoyed all 3 wineries we visited and the honey farm. The lunch we had at the winery was very plentiful and flavorful. Such a delight to visit with the owners and get first hand information. After our return, he toured us around Wellington showing us the best places. I would DEFINITELY book with Kaewa Tours again! Tom did not disappoint. We are so glad we took this tour. We were on a 21 day tour of New Zealand with a tour company and had this day off to do whatever we wanted. We decided to book this one day tour and are SOOO glad we did. We liked it so much we told the tour company we were doing the long tour with that they should offer this wine tour as an optional excursion! Everyone was jealous that we had such a great tour to do that day and said if they had known they would have booked it too. All I can say in conclusion is - BOOK IT!
