Highlights
- Redgate Road - At the beginning of each lesson our coaches will give you all the information you need to have you feeling assured before even getting into the water. We teach you about the waves, rips, potential hazards and surfing etiquette. Then techniques on how to carry your board, attach your leg rope, paddle for a wave and stand up. Once in the water, your coach will assist you with wave selection and help you balance as you get a feel for paddling and standing up on the waves. Your coach will be with you every step of the way to make sure you feel safe and get the best advice for a top quality lesson.

Lessons are generally held at Redgate Beach, however if conditions aren't suitable we will notify you of the best location for the conditions on the day. Please meet the Margaret River Surf School van at Redgate Beach Car Park 10 minutes prior to your lesson commencing.

Fabulous! - Could not recommend this experience more highly! Arthur, the lead coach, was informative, patient and made our whole group feel safe and supported in weather conditions that were not ideal. As an added bonus, as Arthur is originally from Germany, he was able to seamlessly transition from English to German which was ideal for our mixed group of Australians and Swiss. Enormous thanks to Arthur for creating an experience for us that we'll never forget!!

Amazing surf school! - We were looking for tips to transition from beginner to intermediate and Luke has been an amazing instructor. We learnt a lot about specifics to properly surf the waves but also about reading the waves, positioning ourselves, angle to pop up, etc. We definitely recommend this surf school which is very serious and your gonna have lot of fun!

Super professional fun surf school - Great bunch of people always friendly and professional.
My 9 yr old has done multiple group sessions and one private.
They always keep the kids really safe in the water and push thier limits while also making them feel safe.
Arthur was a great fit for Clay as a coach

Top job Finn - My 8yo daughter did a solo private lesson with Finn during these school holidays. He was GREAT with her. He made sure she was warmed up, understood everything and was feeling safe. He knew exactly how to talk with her and did not leave her side in the water. I felt very confident with Finn instructing her. Third wave and she was up surfing! She had the best time in the water, was so happy with the waves she caught and can't wait to go back for more lessons!! Thanks MR surf school & Finn. Will be highly recommending 🤙

Awesome Surf Lesson by George - We (2 friends) had an awesome lesson with George! He has a wonderful way of teaching how to surf based on our level of experience - so that we both could take out most of the time we had in the water. We highly recommend Margarte Ricer Surf School (and especially George :)) and hope to meet you soon again.

Great private lesson - Great private lesson with Amy. Lots of fun for the adults and Amy was great with the kids, helping them to get up on the board and keep their balance.

Despite overcast damp start to the morning, our group of 6 girls and 1 boy aged 12-14 had so much fun. See you next year - As always instructors were so good with the kids, taking the time to help each one enjoy the experience. This is the 6th year my girls and their friends have done Surf lessons and always look forward to going back.
