Your experienced English speaking guide will give paddling and safety instruction for double sea kayaks before you set out on the flat waters of the bay. The kayaks are specifically designed to go further with less effort! No previous kayaking experience is necessary for this tour. You will paddle past islands and stop at beaches for swimming, snorkeling, refreshments and relaxation.
On the return you paddle through the mangrove full of bright red crabs, providing the tide is high enough.
This is an active, fun tour for people who want to explore the bay of Paraty and escape the boat-tripping crowds.

Kayak trip in Paraty with Michael - We did a kayak tour with Michael in Paraty and we absolutely loved it! I had never kayaked before, Michael was an excellent teacher & guide! I highly recommend this tour!

Best kayaking adventure we’ve had! - Had the best time with Patary Explorer. They were so accommodating, we were in a cruise ship and were worried about tender times etc for their fixed tour. They told us not to worry and put on a special tour for this of us in the ship, starting a little later and said they would meet us at the tender pier and adjust accordingly depending on our ships arrival.
Booking in advance and payment was seamless and communication from Michael & Rodrigo was excellent during booking and then the day before arrival to confirm arrangements.
The kayaking was brilliant, impressive kayaks that were comfy and fast! Had a great tour of the local area with constant information on flora & fauna and history. Had a little adventure into the mangrove which was fun. Thank you for a great day!

Amazing tour, but Listing Incorrect - Loved the tour! Unfortunately the Viator listing says that the tour includes snorkeling and snacks at the beach you kayak to and that was 100% not part of the package on the tour companies end. I would recommend booking with Paraty Explorer directly for clarity.

amazing kayak trip in pataty - We had a fantastic time. Everyone involved was really welcoming and friendly. The guides also speak English, they are really fantastic, able to answer your questions. The tour on the bay is amazing, including a stop on a beautiful remote beach and a trip through the mangroves if possible. We were beginners and had no problems. A definite recommend !

A fantastic kayaking trip - highly recommended! - This trip was a real highlight of our time in Paraty. Michael and his team were great instructors and fun to be with. They were very knowledgeable about the area and wildlife - and we felt completely safe. We kayaked to a remote beach, and through the beautiful mangrove and saw lots of birds and crabs! We would highly recommend this trip to those who enjoy being active and exploring beautiful places.

Kayak Tour to Mangrove, Beaches and Islands - It was great to paddle around Paraty bay with Paraty explorer kayaks. I totally recommend to take this tour, no matter you are experienced or it is your first time kayaking. The guide Michael was very kind and explained us many things about nature, rainforest, animals... Kayaks are confortable and safe and you can take your things with you, as they are protected in waterproofbags. We also stopped at a paceful beach and relaxed for a while. Lots of fun and beauty, with stunning views. Go for it!

Awesome trip - Wow this was an excellent tour. Pipo led the tour and he is just terrific. We did the all day kayak tour. The equipment is excellent. The two person kayaks are stable and fast. The views are beautiful. Stopped at a beach and had lunch at an island. Highly recommend this trip. Rodrigo is also an excellent communicator. They are a great tour company. Everything is very well done. Especially enjoyed being with Pipo, he is fantastic. Thank you.

The best experience in Paraty! - Wow! Such a great day exploring Paraty by kayak! From the moment we first contacted Paraty Explorer, Michael couldn’t have been more helpful, he gave us plenty of options and we chose a full day tour. Our guide was called Pipo and he was so so nice, speaks great English (also French and Spanish and of course Portuguese). He is so knowledgeable about the plants and animals living in the bay and really enthusiastic about showing you all it has to offer, we saw many different crabs, birds, monkeys, turtles, fish and more!
I wish we had planned it better so we could do a longer tour! 100% recommend, such an amazing day!

Unnecessary long puddling... - Unnecessary long puddling which doesn’t worth the effort. finally we visited only one mediocre beach easily accessible by land. Mangrove was interesting, but could be quicker reached from the starting point. Be ready to strangle on the way back as the current takes you away from the land. Not smth very difficult, but we preferred to be warned about it and given better tecnics to cope. PS we are pretty physically fit couple 😜 conclusion: don’t lose you time unless you are a big fun of puddling
PS positive side: our guide juliano was a nice and very friendly person, speaking fluent English although we booked the trip in Portuguese 🤣
