Chronicles and Echoes of Divar Island 🏝️ - Tucked away in the peaceful Mandovi River lies Divar Island, which is the second largest island in Goa. With no bridge connecting it to the mainland, the only way to reach Divar is by ferry, making it perfect for those looking to unwind and soak in tranquillity. My visit to Divar Island with Ms. Rachana Pednekar, who is a storyteller at Make It Happen was an amazing experience to explore Goa beyond beaches.The journey began from Sao Pedro Ferry terminal and covered many spots like the Church of Our Lady of Piedade, a sluice gate (Manas), St. Mathias Church, the ruins of the Saptakoteshwar Temple, and the Hatkeshwar Temple, a Shiva temple,also known as Porne Tirth, set beautifully where rivers and streams meet. Apart from this I also enjoyed a hearty local Goan breakfast at a village home, freshly prepared by the host, with live music to make it extra special.

Best memories from divar - I really enjoyed the whole Divar island trip. Pawan who was my guide he showed me around and shared great knowledge about the whole island
Towards the end, we had amazing lunch, typical Goan cuisine
Overall the experience with make it happen was truely amazing and memorable. I would highly recommend.

A walk to cherish by Make It Happen - Hi Pawan, Thank you for the amazing experience at Divar Island. I have come to Goa so many times but this walk at the Divar Island is a memorable one. I got to know so much more and now I will see Goa in a very different way. Awesome experience lead by Pawan - the storyteller at Make It Happen................. Aryan Mota.

Away from the usual Goa! - The tour was well organised. Something unusual. Had the opportunity to experience the unexplored Goan heritage alongside some delicious local home-made food and to top it all up, exclusively arranged live Goan music over breakfast.
Pawan was phenomenal with his knowledge of the ancient Goan times, the ever-revolving dynasties, the medieval times of the state and the rich heritage of Goa - what makes it the always-come-back place for its millions of tourists.
Overall, it was a very satisfying morning spent well with fellow tourists and Pawan! Local food, live music, history, village walk, churches, temples and the mesmerising drive through the narrow lanes of the historic Divar (Dev Wadi) village island. What a hidden beauty.

An evening in Divar Island - It was one of the best experiences of our recent Goa trip. Highly recommended for all tourist to experience this aspect of Goa of peace & tranquility. Divar island is beautiful place with unique architecture, farm fields & filled with stories that go back many centuries. The tour ended with the visit to home of resident of divar island who were so hospitable and kind to prepared excellent goan delicacies along with conversations that filled with laughter, chill vibe & warmth which is unique quality of goans.
The highlight & best part of tour was our tour guide - Ms Santoshi. Her energy was so positive & infectious. With her storytelling & knowledge of the area, the tour became one of the memorable moments of our trip. Thanks to Santoshi & make it happen team for designing such a tour. Cannot wait to come back & explore more !

Fabulous day out Divar Island - I give this trip 10 /10
Prior to the day of the trip we were asked for our food choices so we could enjoy a traditional Goan breakfast supplied by wonderful local family.
The food was delicious and it was accompanied by a local musician who played and sang both Goan and Portuguese for us.
Afterwards enjoying the wonderful atmosphere we started the tour
Our guide for the day was Pewan who was extremely knowledgeable and insightful and managed to make the whole trip to the island so memorable and he really brought the history and charm of the place to life.
I would highly recommend this trip to anyone and in meeting Pewan you will be getting a wonderful experience and a really great person to have a a guide

An Unforgettable Dive into Divar’s History and Culture - Exploring Divar Island with Make It Happen’s ‘Chronicles & Echoes of Divar’ was an absolute delight! Pawan brought the island’s rich history, folklore, and culture to life with his engaging narratives and deep knowledge.

A Soulful Experience on Divar Island! - Had an absolutely amazing experience on Divar Island with Pavan!( Best story teller) He didn’t just show us the place—he made us feel it. From culture and heritage to food and even the smallest details of island life, everything was beautifully presented. The home-cooked meal was a treat, and every moment spent there was truly special. One of those experiences that stay with me for a long time.
