Sneak-peak into the local life, personalised, well-curated, and the company of good people is the cherry on the cake! :) - The trail is personalised, well-curated, and we felt well taken care of throughout. I would totally do this again. It's a great way to get a peek into the local life. The food was delicious too! Esha, Karan, Kiyara, and Rajat made us feel at home, and the experience was much more fun because of the amazing company. :)

Soul Food with Soul Travelling - A wonderful experience cooking local delicacies. Our ambassador Karan was friendly, jovial and the life of the party, he will ensure that you're entertained throughout. Esha and Kiyara are two of their youngest team members with the most vigour. Their enthusiasm kept us engaged. All in all, a 100/100 experience. Thanks Soul Travelling, for exposing us to this side of Goa

Best Tour to Experience Real Goa - We spent yesterday on a wonderful culinary experience tour to Chorao Island, and it was truly one of the highlights of our time in Goa. The experience was perfectly organized, warm, and authentic from start to finish. Local women welcomed us and patiently taught us how to prepare a delicious coconut curry and we got to try authentic Goan fenny. The lunch we enjoyed together afterward was absolutely fantastic and felt very special because we had helped prepare it ourselves. Our guide, Mayuresh, was outstanding. He shared fascinating insights about Goan history and culture throughout the day, making everything we saw much more meaningful. On the way back, he even took us to visit a local Hindu temple, which was an unexpected and memorable addition to the experience. This tour was the perfect mix of food, culture, learning, and genuine local connection. Highly recommended for anyone who wants more than just sightseeing and truly wants to experience Goa from the inside and to meet the people that make it so beautiful. Peaceful, down to earth experience with Atul - great location, food and property hosts - Our day began with a ferry ride to Chorao. Our attentive tour guide Atul rode the junkar/ferry with us on his own motor bike and greeted us with a warm smile and vibe. His knowledge of the local traditions, language and general knowledge of culture across the Indian states was apparent - as was his respectful and effortless manner in interacting with the hosts who owned the private property/farmland we visited where the culinary experience was conducted. Atul took some great photographs of us. He ensured everyone had a chance to partake in the cooking. He also did fantastic demos of the dishes (a sweet coconut & rice flour dish as well as a coconut vegetable curry). Our recipes that the tour group cooked together turned out wonderfully! Also, big thank you to the owner of the property to allow us to enjoy this clean and refreshing experience with beautiful vistas of the mangroves, greenery and beautiful church way off in the distance on the separate island of Diwar. No stomach out or any issues with the food which was prepared hygienically and gave me much peace of mind. To the ladies who greeted us with a traditional welcome and guided the cooking / took care of us all - a big thank you for your hospitality.

Foodies and history lovers HEAR ME OUT! - Foodies and history lovers HEAR ME OUT! I am SO thrilled I booked my tour with Soul Travelling. Professional and full of heart , just as I had hoped. The Island Culinary Experience at Chorao was truly one of the most beautiful and authentic experiences I have ever had. If you want to see the real Goa with a tour guide who is passionate then look no further . Nothing about it felt commercial or staged – it felt real, soulful and thoughtfully curated, exactly as advertised. Atul was an absolutely superb guide. From the moment we met him, he made me feel completely comfortable, welcomed and at ease. He even bought me a hair clip for my photos which I requested - who else would do such a kind extra gesture?! Atul’s warmth, enthusiasm and deep knowledge about Goan food, local culture and traditions shone through every part of the experience. Atul was incredibly informative and generous with his time, always taking the time to explain the history of the island’s culinary heritage and the significance of the dishes we learned about. It never felt scripted – just natural, flowing and full of heart. I loved how unhurried the experience was, letting us truly immerse ourselves in every moment as if we were with family. The unforgettable day began with a ferry ride to the beautiful island of Chorao, followed by a warm welcome by plantation staff and introduction to the island’s unique culinary history. We visited a stunning Goan plantation home where we had hands-on fun preparing traditional Goan delicacies alongside local islanders and then sat down together for an authentic Goan lunch cooked by the kind hands of one of the ladies who worked there. The food was gorgeous and full of soul – flavorful, rich in tradition and shared with genuine hospitality - all with a priceless view . This experience is perfect for anyone who wants something real, meaningful and immersive. Soul Travelling don’t just host experiences – they share a piece of Goa with you, and that is what makes it so special. I would recommend this wholeheartedly to anyone seeking authenticity, beauty and connection through local culture and cuisine.

Rural India and it's food and customs. - We were very pleased with all aspects of this tour. We were lucky as we were the only people on the tour and so we had our own personal guide. We were able to see first hand how the local people cook over an open wood fire and even got to prepare some of the food ourselves. The chance to understand how meals were prepared was very interesting. Our guide Atul was very knowledgeable not only about the food but also about the Goan people and the Hindu religion and was able to answer all our questions. All in all a very enjoyable look at India outside of the tourist areas.

Good experience, but note... - Good experience, but note that you need your own car to manage the trip. I didn’t feel this was clear on the advert. Budget additional money for this.
