We will take you to see 50 different animal species, including the only polar bears in Finland. We organize the entire trip - from transportation to tickets, the only thing you need to do is have fun.
We specialize in small private tours, but if you’re coming with a big group, we are more than happy to accommodate you all.
Ranua Wildlife Park is located one hour drive from the town of Rovaniemi in an Arctic forest. In the summer you can see nature bustling with life. You can see polar bears, gray wolves, geese, owls, foxes, lynxes, minks and brown bears playing in the forest. On this unique tour, you can see them bathe, eat and groom. After a guided zoo tour where you’ll learn about animals and life in Lapland, we will sit down for a tasty buffet lunch.

Fantastic experience at the Ranua Resort - The experience has been super exciting. We had the opportunity to see many artic species in the middle of the snowy forest.

Great Activity! - Victor D from Spain was our guide and he was very professional! He provided info regarding the animals and their habits, he was friendly, pleasant, polite and very helpful!!!! Additionally, he was a very good and careful driver.
The activity was value for money, even though you might not see all the animals due to the season.

Ranua Wildlife Park tour. - Our family of 3 had a wonderful time on this tour. Our guide was excellent- she was very friendly and knowledgable. We were guided around the park and learned a lot about the arctic animals and the history of the Rovaniemi area. The buffet lunch was good too. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this tour. Nordic Adventures were excellent.

The highlight of our trip to Rovaniemi! - We visited the wildlife park were we got picked up at rovaniemi and drove for one hour. During our drive the guide named Tanya told us a lot of interesting facts about Finland and the park where we were going to, so we got really excited about where we were going! In the park she told us a lot of facts about the animals and it was really nice to hear another perspective on these animals and where they have been to and been through aswell. During the entire tour she kept us entertained and we really enjoyed this tour, we would even say that this tour was the highlight of our trip to Rovaniemi! At the end I forgot my sunglasses in the car so I quickly called the bureau and within 10 minutes she came back to give them to me. The service was impeccable and I will definitely make use of Northic Adventures when I come back!

Absolutely worth it! - I visited the zoo on a warm (-4°C), sunny monday and was lucky to see most of the Arctic animals. The zoo is an animal sanctuary too, so they are very well taken care of. Special thanks to Pedro, our very friendly guide and good driver! Good selection at the buffet! There's also a Karl Fazer chocolate and candy shop with good prices.

Wonderful place - I had a good time with my friends. There was a wonderful experience. A big zoo with a lot of different animals and beautiful snow scene. The guide was nice and helped us to spot the animals.

A winter wonderland - We were collected from our hotel (Nova Skyland) and were the only people on the tour so had effectively a private minibus and tour with our very pleasant and helpful guide, who spoke excellent English. The zoo is large but the walking is fairly easy and the enclosures are well designed. Lunch was a hot buffet selection from an on-site cafe and was very tasty with a good selection. We really enjoyed the tour and the only negative was some of the animals were not visible as they were staying in their indoor enclosures, but that's certainly not the fault of the tour guide. We still did see soem fabulous animals in a a beautiful snowy setting - very unique!

Great outing - My wife and I had a truly outstanding day with our tour guide Robin visiting the Ranua wildlife park.
Robin was punctual, an excellent driver and conversationalist, and provided us with interesting insights into Finnish culture and life in Finland.
At the park, he took care of our tickets and then showed us through the park, highlighting elusive animals in certain enclosures, and also providing additional interesting commentary. He also managed to work some magic and the polar bear Venus even appeared. We both said afterwards that we had a fantastic trip to the park, and Robin certainly played a bit part in that.
The park itself is well maintained and the animals have got spacious enclosures. The food was quite good too- Finnish buffet. Would highly recommend.

Ranua Wildlife Park Tour - If you go with the expectation that you are going to a Zoo, you will be fine. In the description they use the words reserve and wildlife park leading me to believe anyway that it was more like a safari encountering the wildlife in the forest. We had a great guide, Tanya, who was knowledgeable about the animals and gave a great walking tour through the zoo.
