Highlights
  • Altitude Activities - Meeting Point

  • Lake Bohinj - The largest natural permanent lake in Slovenia is located in the heart of Triglav National Park. We will take a short stop to admire the crystal-clear water reflecting the surrounding mountains.

  • Mostnica Gorge - Located in Lake Bohinj Valley, the gorge offers us amazing views of boldly transformed rocks and crystal-clear water. We will go on a panoramic path along the troughs and forest to observe interesting pools, waterfalls, ravines, hollowed-out depressions, and smaller rapids.

  • Pokljuka Plateau - The largest mountain plateau in Slovenia, Pokljuka, is covered with an endless forest with tall spruce trees covered in snow which will take our breath away. We will stop there for a traditional Slovenian brunch, a stew and a dessert.

  • Pericnik Waterfall - The beautiful Peričnik waterfall in Vrata valley is one of the highest waterfalls in Europe you can walk all around. If it’s cold enough, we can admire the white-blue curtain of icicles covering the whole cliff.

  • Gozd Martuljek - One of the best views on Špik mountain range is seen from the bridge in Gozd Martuljek. We will make a photo stop here.

  • Zelenci Nature Reserve - The natural reserve Zelenci is hidden in the middle of the forest near Kranjska Gora. It’s known for its beautiful green colors, which are even more vivid in wintertime.

  • Kranjska Gora - A beautiful alpine village located at the north tip of Triglav National Park is especially beautiful in December, when all the Christmas lights turn on. We will visit the town square and a Christmas fair to enjoy warm beverages and street food.

We loved our tour guides! - The tour guides were our favorite! Fun, knowledgeable, honoring our skill levels as we hiked and watched out for our safety. We had as much fun with our guides as we did on our hikes. Truly a memorable experience for everyone and anyone. Enjoy! You cannot go wrong using this company for your next tour of Slovenia.

Fantastic day trip in the mountains! - 10 of us went on this tour and we all loved it from start to finish. A full day seeing a bit of everything from waterfalls to snowy forests to bubbling springs to beautiful lakes and majestic mountains. Our guides Aleksandra and Timo were great company and very informative - telling us all about the places we visited as well as Slovenian culture and life. Definitely worth the money. Thank you!

A Must See - The Julian Alps Region of Slovenia - The name of this tour is perfect - 7 Alpine Wonders is amazing. What was equally amazing is our tour guide, Alex. She provided so much information about the region, she was competent guiding us on the hikes and super friendly. Her enthusiasm and love for the outdoors and the magnificent waterfalls, natural springs and lakes radiates as she guides us to the various locations. A bonus of this tour is a selection of a few lunches of traditional Slovenian food and later having Slovenian hot chocolate at the last lake stop of the day. Every moment of this 11 hour day was filled with beautiful views.

Amazing guide and beautiful sights! - We are so happy that we chose to book this tour! Our guide Alexandra was so knowledgeable, personable, adventurous, and passionate about these places. We chose to book this tour because it was one of the only Triglav tours in the winter season and we didn't want to miss this beautiful alpine region, but we didn't have any experience driving in snow/mountains. This was a great option to sit back and enjoy the scenery, learn about this beautiful area, and hike to some unbelievable nature spots. The lunch break was also wonderful! We got to watch cross country skiing while enjoying traditional Slovenian food. 10/10, definitely recommend, and will book with this company when we return to Slovenia.

Fantastic and beautiful day out! - Aleksandra (our guide) provided an excellent day out with lots of beautiful sightseeing and lovely hikes! It was a full jam packed day (10 hours) which had enough breaks with a lovely spot for lunch. We loved it so much that we are going to go on another tour with Alpine Activities!

Top guides - highly recommended - Fantastic day trip where top places were visited. Our guides Matevž and Janja were incredibly helpful in I) making sure I was included in one of their day trip in a low-season period and II) in making the whole day unforgettable with great organisation and conversation. Photos taken by Matevž were the icing on the cake. Visited spots and the landscape were amazing in terms of beauty and diversity. This tour gives a great introduction in case you want to know the National Park and come back to some points for longer walks later in your trip.

The only place you need to book - From the start to finish I was amazed by the quality of this tour and would definitely say it showed Slovenia to me in a whole new light. I am Slovenian-born but live in Sweden, and while I love doing the occasional touristing when I visit, this tour really took the cake. It was informative, relaxed, the staff very knowledgeable and considerable. Not to mention all the beautiful photo locations I witnessed. I'd try to pick a favorite Alpine Wonder, but I must say it was all of them. Great choices and lovely winter sights :)
