Ha Giang City – Quan Ba Heaven Gate - Du Gia Village
Quan Ba Heaven Gate - Begin your Ha Giang Loop tour with a local guide or Easy Rider, starting from Ha Giang City. The adventure kicks off with a drive through Bac Sum Pass, where you can enjoy the first breathtaking views of the Ha Giang rocky plateau.
Next, the local guide will take you through Quan Ba Heaven Gate Pass. Here, you can savor a drink of your choice at the café while taking in the stunning mountain scenery. Midway down the pass, there’s an opportunity to climb the stairs to the Twin Mountain viewpoint. These two beautiful peaks, standing side by side, resemble the pair of snow pears of a Ha Giang highland ethnic girl.
After lunch in Quan Ba, continue with the local guide through small ethnic villages, including Lung Tam Village, known for its traditional weaving. This offers a glimpse into the rich local weaving culture. Brocade products crafted by skilled H’Mong ethnic artisans are popular among both domestic and international tourists.
Du Gia - As the journey continues to Du Gia, the local guide will lead you through winding roads and endless valleys such as Duong Thuong and Lung Ho.
Explore the rice fields and villages with numerous Tay ethnic stilt houses in Du Gia, providing a glimpse into the serene rural life.
The final stop of the first day is Du Gia Waterfall. After a day of traversing mountain passes, you can immerse yourself in the cool, clear waters of the waterfall, a gift from the mountains and forests.

Du Gia - Mèo Vạc - Dong Van
Meo Vac - The second day of the Ha Giang Circuit Tour, organized by a local guide, is filled with scenic trips through breathtaking landscapes. Be amazed by the terraced fields around Mau Due, showcasing the region’s agricultural prowess. This is one of the few areas on the Ha Giang Circuit where you can witness these stunning terraced fields.
After navigating the M-shaped bend, visit the legendary Happiness Road. Then, enjoy a relaxing cruise on the tranquil Nho Que River to admire the highest tu san gorge in Southeast Asia, a natural wonder unique to Ha Giang.
Dong Van - Continue your adventure by admiring the majestic Ma Pi Leng Pass and the beautiful Nho Que River from above. Stop at the Ma Pi Leng monument, known for its challenging route from the mouth of death and the back of the Dinosaur. Walking in the sky, you’ll witness a spectacular panorama, offering excellent photo opportunities before spending the night in Dong Van.
End your day in Dong Van by enjoying street food at the Old Quarter night market. Then, stroll around and join in dancing and singing with the highland ethnic locals at Dong Van Old Quarter Square.
Dong Van - Yen Minh - Ha Giang
Yen Minh - As the journey continues, visit the Vuong Family Palace (King of the H’Mong). Here, you can appreciate the life and culture of the H’Mong people and see the authentic architectural blend of three cultures: H’Mong, French, and Chinese.
Next, head to Sung La Valley, home to some of the oldest H’Mong ethnic villages on the Ha Giang loop route. This is a chance to explore the area’s rich cultural heritage. Then, proceed to Chin Khoanh Pass, another stunning highlight on the route.
Stop at the famous Tham Ma slope, one of the impressive passes in the UNESCO Dong Van Karst Plateau Geopark, a highlight of any Ha Giang loop tour. After a coffee break and some check-in photos, continue through Yen Minh and stop at Can Ty slope to capture beautiful spots like Co Don Tree and Van Chai Rock.
Ha Giang - Before concluding the tour around Ha Giang, visit Thai An waterfall. Enjoy a coffee break and relax while viewing the miniature Tu San alley in Cat Ly.
