Additional Information

The culinary session commences: you are provided with a kitchen hat and an apron to assist you in the preparation of the three culinary delights, typical of Ecuador, that you’ll be making: a “Locro Quiteño”, an “Encocado”, and a Chocolate Soup. We’ve specifically selected these dishes owing to the global accessibility of their ingredients, enabling you to replicate these recipes back home. You’re encouraged to partake and ascend to the role of a Chef: you bear the responsibility to handle, peel, chop, season, blend, whisk… During the course, the Chef will support and instruct you, imparting insights and trivia regarding the history and origins of each dish. After the completion of the three meals, you’re invited to savor your self-created dishes with the Chef in a unique setting: the courtyard of a Colonial House.

Wonderful Experience - Vanessa was very accommodating; dishes were delicious, Market tour helped us value Ecuador’s wealth of tropical fruit. What a great way to get to know Ecuadorean cuisine!

Fun and informative - We learned loads on this trip from the visit to the market and the cooking experience. We tried some different foods in the market. We made a lovely meal with help from the cooks and we will definitely try some of it again at home. Good value for money. We were very lucky as there were only the two of us on the tour. Staff and restaurant and chef very friendly.

Absolutely brilliant day - I've taken cooking classes all over the world and this is one of the best. Chef Edwin knows his ingredients - Ecuadorian and French - and has many friends at the market. We sampled fruits, pork, creams and snacks before buying what we needed and heading to his restaurant to cook. Completely hands on, fun and delicious recipes - that I shall try when I get home. Highly recommended

So tasty! Highly recommend - This was awesome!!! Chef Edwin picked us up at our hotel and we walked to his favorite market. We learned about the typical fruits and vegetables in Ecuador and then got to decide what to cook. Edwin helped us pick out the ingredients and then we went back to his restaurant and cooked an amazing 3 course meal. It was so much fun and so delicious. Edwin was fantastic! Would totally do this again and highly recommend to anyone visiting Quito
