Amazing Experience! - Such an amazing experience! I’d recommend it to anyone. Be sure to bring cash to the Otavalo market. Wear layers. Expect a very small, but steep hike to see the lake/volcano. And enjoy the ride! It’s SO worth every penny spent.

A very good experience! - Our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable and was happy to answer all questions. All the stops along the way to the market were interesting and well timed. The market itself was very interesting and the variety and quality of the items for sale was impressive! All vendors were very friendly and helpful. After the market visit the lunch provided at a nearby restaurant was very good. and the short walk to the "leather district " was well worth it. The drive to Lake Cotocachi was very interesting in that we had to take a detour around a section of the main highway that was closed. The lake was beautiful and well worth the bumpy detour ride. I would recommend this trip to anyone & felt it was a good value. Special kudos to our driver, Rami, who negotiated the Quioto traffic and back roads with skill.

Packed with lots of fun activities - Really enjoyed visiting Cayambe and learning about the Ecuadorean Bizcocho. There was a surprise stop we had the option of doing which was the ‘real equator line’ at the Museo Solar. It was an informative and interesting 20 minute stop. My favourite part of the day was visiting Cotacachi and learning all about the indigenous traditions and ceremonies that are still celebrated to this day on the mountain. The market itself was cool but would definitely go on a Saturday when it’s in full swing.

Perfect Day in Otavalo - What a day full of surprises! This was such an excellent trip. Our family of six was picked up by our guide, Kevin and driver, Wladimir. We were impressed from the start. Both were so kind a professional the entire trip. Kevin thoroughly answered every question we had whether it was about nature, Ecuadorian culture or society (and we had a lot of questions). Wladimir was an incredibly patient and careful driver through all the traffic. Every stop we made was fantastic. We got to learn about locally made biscotti and try samples of products made from agave. Then we were so fortunate to stop at The Solar Museum on the Summer Solstice of all days. It was fascinating especially for the two teachers in our group. Just when we thought it couldn't get any better, we went to a museum where we were introduced to families that still make textiles similar to the classical way. It was so very interesting and their products were incredible and a great price. We were so lucky to be able to go to the national park and visit Cuicocha Lagoon. It was a beautiful and peaceful place and we all enjoyed the area. Lunch at a local restaurant was next and it was delicious. Everyone was happy with their food. Our last stop was to the Otavalo Market. That was overwhelming and we were very thankful to have Kevin with us. He did not lead us through but guided us to what we had said we were interested in. He was very patient and did not hurry us even though we were a little over schedule. We couldn't have asked for a better day. Thank you Kevin and Wlad!!!

Great day - We had a great day with Kevin! He was communicative and prompt about pickup. He was knowledgeable about a wide variety of subjects and well Travelled himself so we had a lot to talk about. We had a great time at the center of the world and the volcano Crater was unexpected and awe inspiring.

Outstanding tour! Highly recommended! - We had a little trouble finding the pickup location but sure glad we found them. Since we went on a Saturday there were 4 other couples on the bus in addition to my wife and I. Overall it was a great day with five highlights; cafe, equator, Cuicocha Lagoon, Otavalo Market and, Cotacachi. The driver and the guide were personable and extremely knowledgeable. They used the travel time to provide information about the locale. The biscuit-making and cafe were well-timed for a rest stop. The staff were lively and engaging and although the visit was short it was great. We then moved onto the equator which was educational and had great vistas of the country all around the 0'0'. On to Otavalo where we had lunch and enjoyed the market for several hours. I was concerned that we would not have enough time at the market however there was so much to see that more time would not have added anything to the tour. We saw plenty in the three hours we were there. We stopped at Cuicocha Lagoon on the way back and headed for home. I believe the tour operator states this day will be 8-10 hours when in reality it was 12 or 13 hours from pickup to drop off. Again, excellent tour, great guide and driver. I highly recommend this excursion!

Great for Shopping - Great tour overall. It is shopping intensive and great for those looking to buy a lot of local and leather goods. Our guide was great and gave us plenty of time at each stop. The tour does have quite a bit of time on the road but the views are lovely. The lagoon was quite popular and a great place to take pictures. I would do this tour again if I was with someone who liked to shop for local handicrafts, leather goods, and unique gift items.
