Highlights
  • Ocho y Medio - We start from the iconic Ochoymedio Arthouse Cinema. We take a look at the amazing street art around La Floresta as well as tell you about some of the artists who painted them. We also visit a funky cafe and get to try something yummy.
  • Avenida Amazonas - Amazonas Street and the Botanic Garden

We make our way to Carolina Park and visit the Botanic Garden, riding along Amazonas Avenue, one of the main arteries of the modern city. We get to stop for a pretty cool photo shoot too!

  • Parque La Carolina - Carolina Park and Modern Quito

We cycle through Carolina Park and see a mysterious energetic point. We make our way to an iconic fruit and vegetable market, and along the way get to see and stop in Quito’s modern area.

  • Mercado Inaquito - Iñaquito Market

Experiencing a local market is a must in any city. This iconic and colorful market dates back to the 70s! We make our way back, via Carolina Park once again; there’s always so much going on giving you a real insight as to how the locals live.

Best experience in Quito - I spent 2 weeks in Quito and this was the highlight! Esteban (my guide) tailored the tour for my interests. We explored the parks, went to the botanical garden, had a chocolate tasting, and got to see many parts of the city! It is a large city and biking around with a knowledgeable guide is essential to truly know Quito. This is a must-do for anyone visiting!

Great way to see the city! - Great bike tour of Quito. They supplied an excellent tour guide plus a safety person (to ride behind, stop traffic etc.). The tour guide, Catalina, was very nice and knowledgeable about the city and history. The tour included a chocolate tasting and a visit to the local market to try produce local to Ecuador. Catalina was also great at giving us different options for what to see during the tour. Great way to see the city and great tour company.

Active, fun and different! - This was a great tour/activity. I personally enjoy riding bikes and getting to know a city on two wheels. The tour is about 4 hours long, and it can get challenging at times, with some of the hills plus the altitude. But overall, very doable and enjoyable. I was the only person for the tour that day and Carlos, my tour guide, was informative and funny as well. I definitely saw some part of Quito that I would have not seen otherwise. I enjoyed visiting the Santa Clara market and the Carolina park. The chocolate tasting was awesome and the pizza/beer at the end was well worth it. I got to meet the very nice owners of this bike our company. Both ladies were very welcoming and accommodating. The only suggestion I have is maybe to have a little more time at each stop to explore even more, like the market. I highly recommend this tour if you are looking for something active, fun and different!

Great Way to Experience Some of Quito's Coolest Neighborhoods! - We loved this tour and covered so much ground in a relatively short amount of time. We saw so many parts of Quito that other visitors likely miss and learned lots of interesting things along the way while enjoying a beautiful afternoon peddling around the city. We visited street art, a chocolate shop, a mirador, two markets, plazas, La Carolina Park, the Quito Botanical Gardens, and a bike-themed restaurant. The destinations, tastings, and route through the neighborhoods were all great – I absolutely loved getting to visit La Carolina Park and the botanical garden as part of this tour. Thank you to our guide, Carlos, and Quito Bike Tours for an awesome afternoon and giving us a really great taste of several of Quito's most interesting neighborhoods!

Must! - We’ve been on several bike tours in Europe and Australia, and my partner and I agree that Quito Bike Tours is our best experience! The attention to detail, the knowledge of past and current events as well as the culture of the Ecuadorian people all added to a great afternoon. We learned so much and stopped at some very interesting places. A couple were a chocolatier for Ecuador’s finest and at a neighbourhood market where we learned about a wide variety of delicious fruits. The last stop was at a bike themed pizza spot. Which by the way had great tasting gf crust! You gotta book this tour.

Bike tour and personalized old town tour - INCREDIBLE TOUR! I can’t say enough wonderful things about Catalina and the team at Quito Bikes. We had such a great tour with them, we booked an additional personalized tour to see the local market and old historic downtown. I’ve never met a tour guide that goes out of her way to accommodate guests, And tend to every need you may have. She even set us up with a company in the Galapagos- how incredible! What’s even better is that QUITO BIKE TOURS is not limited to only biking tours but everything from Adventure tours to several day multi country customized trips. I strongly suggest, if you have any interest in hiring a guide that you should absolutely hire Catalina and her team. She and the company are both incredible! I look forward to using her service again to see more of Ecuador and neighboring countries!
