Super fun! - Ruins were super neat. Our guide did a great job of giving us plenty of time to see everything, but nnot lingering too long either. The lagoon was beautiful, like out of a movie or travel ad. Definitely wish we had more time there. Would even do an excursion just to the lagoon.

Mayan/ Bacalar Bay - We had a greatly educational trip with these guys (Edgar and Eddar.) It is an hr to the ruin sight. It is not as "advanced" of a park as you would expect in the USA. You wont see any historic signage or educational information plaques explaining about the Myans, so, you need a guide. If you dont get a guide you will not learn anything and miss everything. So, these guys were "top notch" when it came to the information and overall trip experience. We also went to the resort on bacalar bay and the tacos were great! I would recommed this trip for your first time in port as it still provides ample time to explore the port area before boarding the ship along with providing some culturural experience beyond buying junk in the port area. On a side note: When you are looking for the "meeting" spot you need to know it is outside the cruise terminal. It is on the right side of the street as you walk about 2 or 3 blocks from the terminal and is at a small 12x12' building. On the website it will give you gps coordinates and that will work if your phone service works better than mine did. The building is not the "red" color as shown on a google maps address search. So the best thing is to ask the locals and they are more than accomodating in helping you find the place but as memory serves me, you walk up the road to the roundabout and the 12x12 structure should be on the right. Again, it was a great tour and informative and i would gladly do it again.

Best Excursion in Costa Maya - This excursion was worth every penny!!! There were only 8 of us total in the air conditioned van! Our driver Fernando was great and kept us safe!! Our guide Allen- told us some history and interesting facts along our ride to the Chacchoben Ruins! They are very nice and had a cooler of iced waters for us at any time! Our guide, David, was VERY knowledgeable at the Ruins. Told us very neat facts and made you feel like you were almost back in time. After the ruins, we went to a resort. 17 of us total at the entire resort!! Food & drinks were tasty and the views were MAGICAL!! This couldn’t have went any better!! Thank you Allen, Fernando, & David!

The tour of Chacchoben... - The tour of Chacchoben Mayan city and Bacalar lagoon were very nice. However the van that took us and brought us back was not air conditioned and it was really uncomfortable. When asked the driver to put the a/c on he said it was all the way up It was very hot that day and made the ride very uncomfortable
