In the mangroves, the water is serene and soothing, accompanied by the melodies of birds. A professional guide will share insights about the flora and fauna encountered, enriching the experience.
The kayaking adventure is split into two 45-minute segments. After the first segment, there will be a break to rest and hydrate before returning to the starting point.

Kayaking to see birds - Guided kayaking tour with pick-up and drop off. Our group was small, just 5 of us plus the guide. Pick-up was before dawn, so we watched the sunrise from the water. Good birdwatching. As the tide was out, we also walked a little on the edge of the reserve. Well organized.

Crocodiles, sand crabs, and more! - The mangrove ecosystem was fantastic! I recommend the early morning if you hope to experience the crocodiles, we saw five! The guides picked us up at our hotel and returned us, saving us time and cab fare. PSA: mosquitos are for real! Be prepared.

Great kayaking thru mangroves with birds fishes and alligators - Lovely exploration of a different part of Holbox
Great experience with interesting explanations of various mangrove types, roles they play in sustaining the island, range of bird species, and we saw one alligator 🐊 sunning itself and another swimming with eyes and nostrils above water
Abraham was a terrific guide, we had a nice break in the shallows with snacks, then a gorgeous sunset on final paddle home
More exercise than I expected but in a good way!!

Botanical and Bird Tour - Gustavo was our tour guide. He was excellent. Paid attention to our interests, and happily answered any questions. Pointed out interesting wildlife. Described differences in trees and plants. Excellent.

Brilliant - Best tour of our holiday! The guide was very knowledgeable and also helpful for older me!
We saw every bird imaginable as well as a few flamingos and we saw a crocodile and a n octopus. Amazing!

nature was beautiful - I enjoyed the experience! the guide came to pick us up at the hotel on time and was very kind. the reason why I gave it 3 stars is because I had never kayaked in my life before the activity,but it said that it was ok to not have any experience. So I was surprised the the guide did not even ask us if we knew how to use the paddles,nor did the explain how. I was lucky that my partner knew how: he explained to me how to use my paddles. I am not sure I had the right movement because my shoulders ended up hurting a lot after kayaking for 2 hours. the nature was beautiful but we found it difficult to hear the guide because we were not kayaking as fast as him the guide would explain wildlife and ask us questions but it was often hard to hear

Mediocre - The tour was mediocre. The guide was friendly but barely spoke English. We were there at sunrise, and there were at least 4 other tours at the same time, which probably explains why we didn't see much wildlife. Of the wildlife we saw, the guide couldn't tell us much (probably because of the lack of English). We did see some baby crocodiles which was nice, but overall the tour was quite underwhelming. There was no drinking water provided, even though it said it would in the description.

No guidance given - My friend and I could have rented a 2 person kayak for less money and got the same experience. The tour guide gave no insight into the mangroves, nor did he give any guidance on how to navigate the waters. The last part of the tour is essentially in the open ocean and the currents were strong, the tour guide offered no help with this and just paddled ahead to the shore
