In the mangroves, the water is calm and relaxing and you can hear the songs from the birds. Your professional guide will provide you with information about the flora and fauna you see to enhance your experience.
Your kayaking adventure is divided in two parts of 45 minutes each. After the first half, you will stop to rest and have some water before you continue your way back to the departing point.

Crocodiles, sand crabs, and more! - The mangrove ecosystem was fantastic! I recommend the early morning if you hope to experience the crocodiles, we saw five! The guides picked us up at our hotel and returned us, saving us time and cab fare. PSA: mosquitos are for real! Be prepared.

Great kayaking thru mangroves with birds fishes and alligators - Lovely exploration of a different part of Holbox
Great experience with interesting explanations of various mangrove types, roles they play in sustaining the island, range of bird species, and we saw one alligator 🐊 sunning itself and another swimming with eyes and nostrils above water
Abraham was a terrific guide, we had a nice break in the shallows with snacks, then a gorgeous sunset on final paddle home
More exercise than I expected but in a good way!!

Botanical and Bird Tour - Gustavo was our tour guide. He was excellent. Paid attention to our interests, and happily answered any questions. Pointed out interesting wildlife. Described differences in trees and plants. Excellent.

Brilliant - Best tour of our holiday! The guide was very knowledgeable and also helpful for older me!
We saw every bird imaginable as well as a few flamingos and we saw a crocodile and a n octopus. Amazing!

An amazing experience in nature - The sunrise kayak trip from Holbox was one of the highlights of our trip. We kayaked out to Punto Mosquito and then through the rivers to the lagoon. Our guide, Gustavo, spotted and identified many different bird species, and he was also able identify to find a few crocodiles. He was knowledgeable and had a great eye for animals that we would not have been able to see on our own. There were three couples on the tour, all speaking different languages. Gustavo was able to speak all three languages (Spanish, English, and French). This was an unforgettable trip.

Amazing kayaking tour with Gustavo - Kayaking through the mangroves was so amazing! Our guide Gustavo picked us up from our hotel and headed to the starting point of the tour. Gustavo was so passionate and knowledgeable about the biodiversity of the Yum Balam. He had a great eye for spotting wildlife and always took the time to point things out to us and observe. Thank you Gustavo!

No guidance given - My friend and I could have rented a 2 person kayak for less money and got the same experience. The tour guide gave no insight into the mangroves, nor did he give any guidance on how to navigate the waters. The last part of the tour is essentially in the open ocean and the currents were strong, the tour guide offered no help with this and just paddled ahead to the shore
