Alan & Miguel were... - Alan & Miguel were absolutely incredible. We celebrated my dad’s 75th birthday and they even did a special treat and sang to him. Their Mexican lunch buffet was amazing and the free drinks were poured strong. What a beautiful paradise!!

Great visit kayaking in Costa Maya - We had a great time with our family on this trip. We sailed into Costa Many on Royal Carribean and getting picked up was a little tricky. You have to exit the entire port and walk a bit, but all of the companies providing last minute trips helped us find our pickup location. We traveled for about an hour to the lagoon and then spent about an hour and a half or so on the water. It was absolutely beautiful. We had a first time kayaker in our group that was a little slow and held up the group, but that wasn't anything against the tour company. Lunch was fantastic, as were the drinks. The drinks weren't very strong, but the environment was breathtaking. Would do it again in a heartbeat. The staff was top notch.

Definitely recommend - Our tour guide was very nice and knowledgeable. He stayed with us the whole excursion. Taxi service was good. Beautiful location!!! Food was AMAZING! Kayaking and snorkeling were fun.

Great tour, minor logistical issue - Fantastic location and staff. The food and drinks were delicious. The only issue was were we unwittingly sent with a group going to the Mayan ruins so we lost out on about 45minutes of time that could have been spent at the lagoon as we booked. This also happened to another couple that was with us on the same tour.

Bacalar kayak - I recommend the Bacalar lagoon kayaking trip. The group was small and the guide let us establish a comfortable route and pace. It does not go far (across the lake and back) but that was adequate. The water's blues and greens were beautiful. My only suggestion is that the guide could spend more time adjusting the seats for each kayaker for a better fit, and provide some basic kayaking instructions to better help the newbies. The van ride to the Lake, small resort location, kayaking and served lunch were excellent.

Amazing experience! I'll do the same excursion next time! - The entire experience was amazing. The drive to the lagoon was about an hour which is what we expected. The driver was very safe and nice along with the tour guide. The tour guide was one of the most wonderful parts of the day. He explained many things about the area and where we were going. He was so so nice too. The lagoon and resort was absolutely beautiful. There wasn't a large crowd of people. Lunch was included and they served authentic mexican tacos with a variety of sauces and toppings. Mhmm were they good. It was unlimited drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) and unlimited tacos. The kayaking was nice, great way to see more of the beautiful lagoon. Great day and one of the top excursions I've ever done. Only complaint was we were slightly rushed at the end to leave. We were only given about 10minutes to finish what we were doing and get back to the van to leave.

Hosts and Resort = 5 Stars, Kayaking = 3 Stars - The hosts couldn't have been better. So hospitable. And the resort itself was beautiful and so well maintained. First class. However, the kayaking was pretty lackluster. You kayak across the lake which takes about 30 minutes and then you stop in an area where the lake bottom is like quicksand. Then you kayak along the edge to an area with a bunch of mangrove trees. Then back across the lake to the resort.

A long drive for a short excursion - We did enjoy the ruins and the tour guide was very knowledgeable. We didn't have a lot of time that day and I felt like we had to drive a lot for such a short tour. The tour started at 8:00 am and the ship left at 2:30. It was a long drive to the ruins, which we kind of expected, but after the ruins, we went to the lagoon and the drive there was rough. We were on the bus on a very bumpy long dirt road for about 30 minutes. We only had about an hour for lunch and swimming before we had to head back, which was another hour back to the ship. The tour was fine, but I felt like we did more driving than enjoying the beach.

7 Color Lagoon - The resort was very nice & people there very friendly & helpful. Kayaking was disappointing. Only about 20 minutes. Food & drinks were good. Would have liked more time to kayak. A little rushed. Colors were not really visible due to overcast skies.

Bad Experience - Unfortunately there were none. None of the excursion/tour providers could find our reservation at the meeting point. So we were unable to go. Have never had a problem with Viator but did this time.
