Excellent and affordable private charter shore excursion for two-tank dive in Cozumel - We had the incredible time diving with David, Jose and Eddie during our two-tank dive in Cozumel. We were on a cruise with Royal Caribbean and this was our last port day. I found Salty Endeavors after much research, and decided to book a private charter with them for our party of four with mixed dive experience since we had only eight hours at port. From the beginning of the reservations, we had numerous conversations and very comfortable that we would find our team when we disembarked. The day before our dive, one of our team members could not dive, and I had no problem getting a credit for the tank rental for the one diver. Dive master Dave and Dive Instructor Jose made sure to take care of all of us, and gave us an excellent underwater tour of the beautiful reef in Cozumel. We are excited to see the picture of us with the sea turtle, casually eating at the bottom of the ocean floor, looking up long enough at us to say hello and then keep on doing what he was doing. The abundance of life is amazing, but I assure you our guides are what made this most memorable. From beginners to experienced divers, to a short dive, or long one, it is by far well worth booking your next dive experience Salty Endeavors!!!

I’m hooked. The first but not last scuba experience. - I’m giving this place a five but they did lose our reservation somehow. Once we finally got connected the experience was five star. My wife and I had a great time and our guide was fantastic. It was a first for both of us but we are hooked and will scuba again. Super clear water and great instruction.

First time scuba diving - John and Gjermo were amazing instructors. Family went diving for first time and loved it. Very professional, safety conscious. We highly recommend. Thanks for a great time!

Great dive company! - As two inexperienced divers with only our open water certs, we appreciated the refresher course we took with Salty Endeavors and the experience of the dive guides. We did one afternoon dive and 3 morning dives - each 2 tank dives with a surface interval between sessions. All drift diving. We went with two different boat captains (Victor and Chisbo) and 3 different dive guides (Isidro, Alex, and Eduardo) and all were experienced, safety-conscious, and fun. Each boat holds 8 customers (+ captain and dive guide), but we usually had around 6 (February 2023). This felt like a nice group size and we enjoyed meeting other travelers. The guides tried to take us to a new dive location for each dive. A few times strong currents required us to return to previous spots, but all were beautiful. The marine life and water visibility were fantastic! I would highly recommend Salty Endeavors for your dive trip to Cozumel.

Scuba diving in Cozumel with Henry - Henry, and his team were all very responsive to our needs. We were a small group of scuba divers that wanted to dive near the Palancar Reefs. They did a good job accommodating us and our many scheduled dives. The boat was able to pick us up at the docks of a hotel near Palancar Reefs. We did morning dives, afternoon dives and night dives with them, no problems. Henry's team was very attentive to our diving, and our dive gear. Henry also provided some tips as to taxi rides, hotels, and shopping in Cozumel.

The best dive experience! - Salty Endeavors is an awesome dive shop. They are easy to work with on the front end of booking. The dive team we worked with was first class. Alex aka Batman was a wonderful dive master. He made diving so much fun and relaxing. We saw amazing marine life and coral. I would definitely book with them again.

Buyer beware - you may miss your voyage home with these guys! - Well, that was an adrenaline rush, and I don’t mean the scuba experience. Three friends and I had signed up with Salty Endeavors for a “small group” scuba dive. The four of us had booked the 2 pm slot and needed to be back aboard our cruise ship by 5:30 pm. We were told that the whole experience would take 2 hours, so we would have plenty of time to make it back to the ship. Instead, we arrived at 2 pm and waited until 2:45 pm for the equipment to arrive. During this time, we had a 15-minute safety briefing, but wasted about 30 minutes extra waiting for the equipment (minus a wetsuit that we had requested, but we’re not provided). Also, we were under the impression that the four of us would be diving together, but instead the instructor took two of us into the water and then disappeared for the next hour while the other two waited without word. When the instructor returned, he said he did not have enough weights to take all four of us into the water together, but none of us heard him mention that before and felt like we were misled (we are all between 125 lbs and 190 lbs btw, so nothing out of the ordinary). Ultimately, the last pair went into the water at 4:25 pm (remember, we started at 2 pm!) and exited at 5:11 pm (19 mins before we had to be back aboard our ship!). Fortunately, one of my friends hired a cab and then we had to cut a very, very long security line at the port in order to make it back in time (running down the pier was an exhilarating, but completely unnecessary experience). We then contacted the owner-operator (Henry) and he excused away our late start (saying it was due to the weather even though it was a gorgeous day as shown in the attached photo), was completely unapologetic, and did not offer even a partial refund for the delays and stress we were under (not to mention the stress felt by those waiting for us aboard the ship). I’m sure he would have bought us return flights home had we not made it in time though (LOL). Anyway, buyer beware - you may miss your voyage home with these guys! P.S. Providing two stars instead of one because, minus the poor communication, the diving instructor (Shamik) was actually quite good and helpful in the water.
