Worthwhile tour in a beautiful, natural setting. - The tour we booked was general admission, so we waited about 10 minutes for some additional people to join. Paty was an excellent guide who shared the history of the Mayan chocolate making process and importance with us. Delicious samples made the experience even more fun! It was about an hour for the total experience. Highly recommend! Bring a small cooler if you are not heading back to a space where you can keep the chocolate bars that you buy.

Chocolate - This was part of a cruise tour. The tour was well-organized. They showed us the process, gave us samples, and we ended up in the gift shop. We found it interesting and worthwhile.

Went on a whim and glad we did - It was a lovely time, informative and interesting. Our daughter compared it to a field trip. Our guide Angel was so kind. Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for a something to do that isn’t a multi hour experience.

Dairy-Free Yumminess - The mayan cocoa company was a great experience!! The museum smells like chocolate from the get-go, and Paty did an AMAZING job explaining how Mayans used to make chocolate by hand. As an individual with a dairy allergy, being able to have the chocolate was an added bonus!! Maria served us mole on a fresh tortilla which was also delicious. We were allowed to try 3 samples of chocolate when everything was said and done, and it was all delicious!

Great tour from Paty and world’s best chocolate! - Paty was the best tour guide! We loved the rich history she shared and how she made us feel at home while on the tour. She kept all of us engaged too! She also had the best local spot for lunch!

I always learn something new! - Great place to go to learn about chocolate (my all time favorite)! I've been here twice now and they are always friendly. Because we arrived early, they took us right in and we had almost a "private" tour. I loved that they added the tortilla experience too. Our guide was Eduardo. He was very kind and allowed us to ask all kinds of questions. I loved having the chocolate cooking demonstration. Even better is that this experience didn't take an extraordinarily long time, so we went to the public beach right next door. Fantastic time!

Fun experience from the cruise port - Great experience. We took a taxi from the cruise terminal, it cost $10 a person, 18 minute ride. The cab driver promised to return after our tour. He showed up as promised. The tour was education and fun, lasting about 45 minutes. We got to see and taste chocolate made before us from the cocoa nibs. Inside the store we got to taste as much of the chocolates as we wanted.

To see by the way - This is interesting from a historical point of view in relation to Mayan culture, but it does not show cocoa plantation or real chocolate making.
