Amazing Experience! Will always treasure it! - Amazing experience!!! We had a wonderful time touring the farm, tasting numerous local foods, preparing appetizers, and eating an authentic meal. If you want to get a taste of the local culture, this is the excursion for you! They all spoke English very well. Everyone treated us like their royal guests. Even the driver was super friendly and answered all of our questions about local culture. In fact, the driver volunteered to go back to get our bag and return it to us when we realized we left it at the farm. Don't miss the full farm experience!

Unique Fun in Cozumel!! - We followed the easy instructions given to us by Viator when our Princess cruise docked in Cozumel and found our very friendly driver, Frank waiting for us exactly as planned. It was a short scenic drive to meet Carlos and his family at their small farm. Carlos took us on a very informative short walking tour of the farm and explained the history, growing and harvesting of many local plants, fruits and vegetables. We learned about how tequila is made and many plants used to infuse the tequila with flavors. We heard many interesting stories and folklore from Carlos and were able to taste different fruits/vegetables. We also toured the “native outdoor kitchen” where handmade tortillas, roasted tomatoes, roasted peppers were cooked to help us prepare the most delicious dishes including homemade guacamole! We enjoyed some delicious tequila and cocoanut drinks with our lunch which Carlos helped us prepare. We spent about 3-1/2 hours at the farm and could have definitely stayed longer as it was so interesting. Carlos and his family were wonderful hosts and even offered walking sticks and chairs during the tour for our “not so mobile” companions. After the tour, Frank picked us back up and returned us to our ship with time to spare to look in some shops as we made our way to our ship. We would highly recommend this to anyone who would like to do something a little more unique, and off of the beaten path rather than book a typical shore excursion through the cruise line.

Loved the farm and the tequila. - We loved touring this family farm, learning all about the many species of trees and fruit growing on the property. The lunch and tequila were fantastic. There wasn't very much cooking involved, but that was fine. It was a very different experience from other things we did in Cozumel and everyone in our group commented that we would recommend it to others. Thanks Carlos for sharing your knowledge and fun time with us!

Food excursions are the best! - Such a unique experience! We drove out to a family farm and listened to one of the son's talk about their farm, their plants, animals, history, etc. This is a great tour for gardeners and anyone interested in plants and cultivation. The horchata was amazing!! We're inspired now to try and make our own. There made us another delicious homemade juice (made from Sapote) and tequila tasting (nothing like US tequila! It was much better and smoother). They had us make 2 appetizers (guacamole and a bean dip: both great) and then they made us a Sopes dish (as much as we wanted) in their outdoor cooking area. We love any kind of food tour and this definitely hit the spot!

A hidden gem! - My wife booked this excursion last minute when other plans fell through, and we're both so glad we did this! Miguel picked us up in a clean car and drove us to the ranch. During the ride, he answered our flurry of questions and pointed out some interesting things about the island along the way. It was a very informative and enjoyable ride. On arrival, Arturo greeted us and offered to take us on a tour of the grounds to see all of the trees and plants that they grow for the fruits and vegetables we would be consuming. We declined since it had been raining, but we got straight into the Paloma (tequila drink) with fresh fruit juice. After some icebreaker drinks, he started us out with some fresh roasted vegetables that we used to make fresh salsa. Arturo was very detailed in explaining the different layers of flavors and spices during the process. We made two different salsas and some fresh guacamole. We then made sopas to top with the salsas and guacamole that we made. Miguel and Arturo were very friendly, informative and engaging. We would definitely recommend this experience to others!

Rustic Experience - If you like a rustic experience, this is for you. There is no electricity, so the restroom was a bit dark on a cloudy day; not recommended for a sit-down experience. The food and drinks were good. The tacos were messy so bring your own napkins. We asked for napkins and they brought us 4 squares from a roll of toilet paper. They were nicely folded. Overall, this excursion was not worth the cost.

Don't waste money on this tour - It's not a farm to table tour. Was pickup in old jeep and taken to a fruit farm. Was told about fruit trees and tasted fruit juice. Then he made guacamole for us. Don't waste money on this tour.

Do not book this tour. You are going to be regret. - Not a pleasant experience. We booked 6 and only 5 attended the trip. The operator let 5 of us sit in a car that can only take 4. So, 4 of us sit on the back seat of course we can’t have seat belt. I told them it is too small and he still insisted we can sit in the car. The car is so dirty and there are sands all over the seats. We have 80+ and 90+ elders which they don’t care the safety at all. When we were in the ranch , and that is even worse. There is no clean toilets and no light in the restroom. I need to use the phone to light up my way. Every one is allowed to have one cup of drink. Come one , not even a can of drink. One cup of soft drink. How expensive it will be? Then we made our own salsa which they only provided portion for 3-4 people. The funny thing is they only gave us a small plate of chip. Are chips they expensive as well? When I asked we need more chips, the operator only add like 5-7 chips more. No kidding, I can count how much more he gave us. The food is not delicious either. The overall. Very bad experience. Totally not worth.

Not worth it! - I would not recommend this tour. This place is really old and run down. We did not see a farm at all. A few fruit trees at best. He showed us how to make salsa and gave us 3 tacos. The rest of the time we sat waiting, alone! For the amount of money, we expected much more.
