Ruins and the beach! Loved it!! - this excursion has the best of both worlds. A tour of the ruins, which was very interesting. Plus we got to see some monkeys in the trees. The second part we got to go to a type of beach club with drinks, and food, and lounge, chairs, and swimming. What a great day! Our excursion guide, was the best! He was very informative, and we learned a lot from him and he had a great sense of humor.

If you’re looking for the perfect 2-in1 tour, this is it! - We had an amazing time on the tour. Be aware, you will need to walk about 10-12mins outside of the port entrance to meet guides and transportation. Our guide Maggie and driver Edgar were simply amazing. We had a great history lesson on the drive to the Ruins. Once we arrived, they provided us with water so we were hydrated for walkthrough. We met our guide at the ruins Diego and he was excellent and very knowledgeable. We also had water available during the tour. After, we did some light shopping for souvenirs at the ruins then made our way to the lagoon. The water was warm and soothing. It is fresh water so it was easy to change and get dressed without being itchy that usually happens with salt water. We had 2-Alcohol drinks and tacos included with our rate and we were able to get seconds. If you want more drinks you can purchase them. After the lagoon, we headed back to the port which was about a 1hr drive and they dropped us off at the gates to the port.

Absolutely wonderful day (even without the ruins) - Juan Corona was our guide. He was excellent!! He taught us Mayan numbers, a good deal about the culture and ruins (however we were unable to view the ruins on this day). Hassan was our driver and he drove very safely (driving on the country road can be interesting). We went to Bacalar Lagoon and it was beautiful!! Our favorite spot in Costa Maya!! Definitely visit!! Armando was our boat captain! He had a great personality and added to the fun! Juan stopped in the "pineapple town" and bought some honey pineapple and mango for our snack on the lagoon (which is actually a spring fed lake). Delicious, especially with a little shot of tequila! The lunch of street tacos was also delicious and the restaurant patio was nice. Overall a great day and we learned a lot!! I would definitely recommend.

The tour was a... - The tour was a spectacular experience. The time at the ruins was swift but adequate. Our tour guide was a wealth of information so we didn't feel like we were missing out on anything. The final stop at the lagoon was welcome after the long bus rides and sweltering heat.

Our guide was very... - Our guide was very informative. The ruins were very impressive. The Lagoon was a great place to put your feet in and cool down. The bus ride was long but you can't change that because of the distance from the ruins. It was a challenge for my husband because he is tall and some seating didn't accommodate his legs very well.
