Miss it already. - Soooooo chill. Best shrimp tacos I have had and I’m a foodie and picky as hell. It was great to get away from the port and crowds and see the relaxed vibe south of costa maya. I cried when we left. I love this place and beaches here.

Stop by the Chunky Monkey! - My wife and I were on our honeymoon and made our way to the Chunky Monkey bar. The bar is a short cab drive from the port and has a gorgeous private beach directly in front. Fernando and his team were still excellent. The food and drinks were great. You can also snorkel to the reef from the beach instead of renting a boat. Highly recommend and we will be back!

Great local spot - Chunky Monkey was the perfect local spot to relax. Great food and drinks, lovely view and well maintained. The staff and owner were very nice and extremely helpful with a small hiccup we had in our day that had nothing to do with them! If you go, make sure to get a massage right there on the beach, those ladies are fantastic!

Very cute! - Excellent experience!! Great service, great margarita and the best guacamole. Great place to go for a chill day of drinking and food. We stopped off for about and hour and a half for some drinks and shots.

No a tourist trap love it!!! - My wife and I had a great time at Chunky Monkey Beach club, food was great and the staff was incredible.Best place we have eaten in on the beach front.

Not exactly what we expected - Although this family owned business has great service and the food was good there are a couple cons. The directions to where to be picked up are confusing for someone who's never been to Costa Maya. We ended up taking a taxi to the club. This was supposed to be included in the amount we paid, also had to pay for a taxi to return. Also, we had paid for 2 massages and didn't get these. I tried to email them to ask about why we paid for these services if we didn't get them but did not hear back. Unfortunately, Costa Maya is experiencing alot of seaweed right now and you can't go swimming! Really disappointed. We made the best of the afternoon but wouldn't return to this particular club.

Beware, unscrupulous and unappolgetic - Beware of this tour company. At the last minute the beach club was changed to another location due to seaweed. Not even sure where we ended up. This beach was also full of seaweed and stagnant water, and the kids wouldn't even get in the water. Funny thing, up the coast within a 5 minute walk bit was a nice stretch of beach that was well maintained. If one club can clean up and maintain then Chunky could have also. Or if they send you to another beach it better be worth it. This ruined a valuable trip for several people. No refund offered no apologies.

terrible experience - Unfortunately I must say that this operator does not have adequate facilities and responsible transportation to provide a quality service. I do not recommend it under any circumstances, it is at your own risk to hire this type of tour operator, there are better and more responsible companies that dedicate themselves to offering the best of their work to visitors who want to know and enjoy these places of great natural beauty.
