Wish we had more time. - Everything went very well, from the taxi ride to the food. The snorkeling was great. I just wish we had more time there. Buy your ticket here before you go and save time at the entrance!

We had a great day on the beach. - Chankanaab Park was enjoyable for the whole family. We enjoyed drinks, the beach, snorkeling and scuba diving. The food was enjoyable and the staff was pleasant.

It was a relaxing day - Easy to get to by cab. $15 there+$5 top(same on the way back). Once we arrived we were greeted by a couple gentlemen. I told them I booked thru Viator and they asked to see the reservation on the app to confirm which one of them were my guide. Omar was our guide and had our names down on his clipboard. He gave us our food, drink and snorkle tickets (very small so keep them safe and dry). It was $10 each person extra for the reef tax(I knew about this ahead of time so I wasn't surprised. It's also mentioned when you book). Omar told us where to go as soon as we walk in the park and after that we were on our own exploring the forest, ruins, small kids beach, hammocks, lagoon and ventured off with our own snorkle gear to the water. There are tons of fish! Your surrounded by small, medium and large fish(like a foot long). Water is clear and was so amazing! Bathrooms behind tequila tasting is run down but if you prefer cleaner bathrooms then use the ones at the pool/main store. There are changing tables and clean toilets. The locals trying to sell you things are kind. Just tell them you just got there and will check back later. Lunch review: the lunch was weird but when your starving you'll eat anything lol white rice, spaghetti O flavored spaghetti, flat grilled dry chicken, cheese quesadilla, watery refined beans that looked more like a dipping sauce than actual beans, then a big plate of flour tortillas🤷🏻‍♀️. My daughter is 5 and was not happy with it so she got a $16 cheeseburger which came with fries. She ate it all! We ended the day with the sea lion show. It was short and cute. They introduced 2 sea lions who did cute tricks. Overall it was a great day, not busy at all. We were there from 9:30 to 3pm. Was back on the ship at 3:30. Overall I recommend for families with children with no strollers as it's very difficult to navigate to the beach with the sand.

Park is great but food is horrible - Let me start by saying the park is beautiful. The shallow area is great for kids to enjoy the water. Our complaint is about the food that was served from the “buffet.” They bring out plates for each person. The food is “HORRIBLE.” I could not believe we were being served this food for the price we paid. We left the park after seeing the food and paid to eat lunch somewhere else. I suggest just paying for park pass and not drinks/food. You will be disappointed if you purchase all inclusive. NOT WORTH IT! The park is beautiful but they need to look at changing what is served for food.

Nice park; poor value ticket - The park was lovely, quiet, amazing water. Friendly attentive service. But....this package we bought was a waste of money. In fact, MORE EXPENSIVE than buying admission at the gate. The so called "lunch" was a joke: small cup of plain rice, glob of spaghetti with watery sauce of unknown flavor, tiny cup of beans with mostly water, and then a thin overcooked dry pork steak way too salty. Oh, and a small cup of warm beer. Don't waste money on this offering. Enjoy the park but pay there.

I should have read the reviews. - I should have paid more attention to the reviews. Do not book this tour. There was no buffet. They gave us a plate of food but it wasn’t edible. It said it came with soda and beer but it did not. The dive shop took my license and then closed early. We did enjoy the chairs and snorkeling. I barely got someone to get my license back. I would not recommend.

Not what we expected from included meals - Landscape is nice but they try to rip you off with exaggerated prices when you sit on one of the beach chairs. We payed $22 for 4 cans of coke. The free meal was also not what we expected, we even did not get a soda for free but some kind of cheap lemon fruit mix.

Don’t buy packages from outside the park - Do not buy a package to CHANKANAAB from anywhere but the park itself. We were miss lead on what we were buying. Told we all had drink packages and we didn’t. The place was so crowded we could even find a table to sit down for the basic food they had.

Complete waste of money - This was the worst excursion I have ever been on. The park "didn't have" my information when we arrived. The attendants just wouldn't let us in until we paid their $50 extortion fee. Every "employee" there was just trying to scam us constantly. People were openly selling hard drugs everywhere. The park was dirty and falling apart. Our included lunch appeared to be some kind of leftovers from another facility. It was a truly awful experience.
