- Manuel Antonio - During the 1-hour journey to our launch site, you’ll witness expansive Palm plantations and the stunning vistas of the lower Talamanca mountain range. Upon arrival, we equip you with a life jacket, helmet, and paddle. Following an extensive safety orientation, you’ll board the raft with a seasoned guide and set off down the river. A safety kayaker accompanies all river excursions. The river is broad and offers breathtaking scenery. We’ll make a stop at a picturesque waterfall, perfect for a refreshing natural massage and a memorable family photograph. You’ll spend approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes on the river.\n\nA selection of fruit snacks, including pineapple, fruit juice, water, and cookies, will be provided during the tour. Additionally, you’ll enjoy an authentic Costa Rican meal at a local eatery. The return trip to your accommodation takes around 40 minutes.

Additional Information
We are a boutique tour company that is locally owned and operated. We pride ourselves on keeping our groups small to medium in size and avoid taking out large groups so that we can make our tours more personal and unique. You get to raft through pristine Costa Rican jungle and rain forest. The drive alone to get there is breathtaking, with incredible views of the lower Talamannca Mountain Range. The Savegre River is the cleanest river in all of Costa Rica. Our tour includes a stop at a beautiful 30 ft. waterfall where one can get a natural water massage. It will be a great experience for the whole family. You wont be disappointed!
- What to bring: extra bottle of water, sun block, water shoes or sneakers (Keens or Tevas work great, no flip flops), sun glasses and straps, swim suit, towel, change of clothes, a little money just in case, camera
- A minimum of 3 people per booking is required for this 7:30 am morning tour
- A maximum of 15 people per booking
- Largest life jacket fits size 52” chest
- Minummum age is 6 years
- A minimum of 3 people is required for this booking
- This tour requires a minimum number of travelers. If it’s canceled because the minimum is not met, you’ll be offered a different date/tour or a full refund

Best water rafting in Savegre river - We had an amazing experience doing class IV rafting with Costa Rica tropical adventures.
It lasts about 2h and we had time to jump of a cliff and swim in some parts of the river. Definitely recommend them as they prioritize safety while making sure you have the best time and adrenaline rush the entire time of the activity.

A must do in Costa Rica! - Amazing tour guides and a great river. The rapids were just scary enough so we never felt unsafe and the guides did their best to make sure none of us fell in. Truly great experience.

3/4 Savegre Rafting Trip - Ruben and Landon were excellent. They were extremely professional and took time to ensure my wife and kids felt comfortable with the river trip. They were friendly, patient and ensured a once in a lifetime experience. We even got to see a boa constrictor hanging on a tree as we completed our trip. Like they say, Pura Vida!

We loved this tour! - We had a great day on this tour. Damian and his team were brilliant! None of us had done it before, I was definitely a bit nervous, but he made us feel safe and taught us what to do. Very long drive to where we needed to get in the river but so worthwhile! We got very wet, but managed to stay in the boat! A pit stop at a waterfall, with toucans and kingfishers on route. Then cookies and pineapple for snacks followed by a quick stop for Casado on the way home finished the day perfectly, we were exhausted. Looking forward to downloading the photos when we get home ( extra charge but worth it!) totally recommend!

Best rafting adventure of our lives! - We had the absolute best time with Damian on our rafting trip. He re-directed us to a different river due to the water levels and the fact that we had driven 3.5 hours to get there, and we were not disappointed! We could not have had a better rafting experience. We were even able to jump out and swim down the river a bit!! Damian is so knowledgeable about the flora and fauna we saw as well as the wildlife. We loved the personal attention we received. The trip was a major highlight during our vacation in Costa Rica. I highly recommend Costa Rica Tropical Adventures to anyone looking for a fantastic adventure. We will definitely return!

The Perfect Wedding Party Adventure! - A highlight of our trip! We organized this tour as a pre-wedding activity for a group of 20 of our Manuel Antonio destination wedding guests. Everyone had so much fun with both the rafting and the waterfall stop, and the scenery was unbelievable as we were rafting through tall hills of jungle greenery. The rafting was perfect for our group because it was just enough thrill without being too risky feeling. There were even points that we took advantage of the ability to jump out of the boat and float/swim through some smaller rapids. Also, the guides were fun and friendly, and provided so much information for us about the history of the area and pointed out wildlife along the way, so that even the drive up to the put in spot was a treat. Among other wildlife, we saw scarlet macaws and a basilisk lizard (aka Jesus Christ lizard). The tour ended with a delicious typical Costa Rican meal while we got to watch some of the world cup. Couldn't have picked a better company to share our wedding festivities with!

Soo much fun. Best day on the river. - Soo much fun. Excellent day out on the river. Incredible guides who really care about your safety but ensure you have the maximum amount of fun too. My friends and I wanted to go back and do another run with these guys the next day hut we had to fly. Highly recommend.
