Great surf lesson, terrible Viator meeting instructions - The surf teachers were great! Husband and daughter (21 yrs) thoroughly enjoyed their lessons. The instructions from Viator, however, are terrible. Just plain wrong. Waited for 20 minutes at the location (in front of Supermercado) and no one showed up. Called the tour number from app. Viator representative was rude and unhelpful saying “they are there” when they were not, because we were given the wrong location. The meeting location is ACTUALLY the surf tent on the beach. Go there and save yourself some grief and time. I hope Viator will correct their instructions for future travelers.

We had a great time... - We had a great time surfing in Manuel Antonio! The surf instructors were awesome! We each had our own instructor helping us to paddle out to waves and pick waves that we could ride. We went from never having surfed before to catching multiple waves in a little over an hour! This was a great experience for beginner surfers!

A great start to our Costa Rican experience! - If you have never been to Costa Rican beaches near Manuel Antonio before, I highly recommend starting your trip with Glen and Derek and their crew. They were very helpful to us, and very gracious during our stay. Our surfing experience was fun and very tiring, perfect after a very long day of travelling. Alexandra took great action shots of our surfing adventure, and I’m happy that we will have these memories to take home with us.

Surfing lessons in Manual Antonio - highlight of my trip - I took a surf lesson at Glen’s school in Manuel Antonio last week. It was amazing and I’d do it a million times again. Sebastian was my instructor and he was fantastic. I also met Glen, the owner, who provided some insight during the initial overview and he was lovely. Sebastian was absolutely delightful to work with and he is an incredible teacher. Heavy focus on safety and technique which I appreciated. Once we got in the water, I was surprised by how quickly I managed to get up. Sebastian’s guidance was very useful and he offered feedback along the way to help me improve. In between waves, he also shared some tips on how best to enjoy wildlife on Costa Rica. I cannot think of a better way to enjoy Manuel Antonio than by learning to surf from such a kind and intelligent human who is enthusiastic about sharing his knowledge with others. The school also lets you borrow their boards to practice at no additional charge after you’ve completed a lesson, which is nice. I wish I could go back a 1,000 times to surf with Sebastian…definitely one of the coolest things I’ve ever done and the highlight of my trip.

Great experience in Manuel Antonio - I used Glen Castro for my surfing lesson and parasailing. My surf instructor, Sebastian, was an excellent surfer and attentive instructor. Added perk of doing the lesson through Glen Castro was that he lets you use the surfboard for free for the rest of your time in Manuel Antonio. Also, Glen was kind enough to put a chair and umbrella out for my wife for no extra cost. Parasailing was done with one of the two main groups at the beach (I guess Glen was a salesperson for them?). It was my first time parasailing, but it felt totally safe. Highly recommend trying it!

Surf's Up! - Fantastic lesson from a professional surfer. He was patient with us, a great teacher and a lot of fun to be with. You will not be disappointed!

Highly recommend! - Great experience! The instruction was top tier and the instructors were very good at meeting you at your level. I went with my partner who had never surfed before and he was able to get up! For me, they were wonderful at challenging me with bigger waves since I had more experience. All in all, a super fun time.

Exceptional Experience - My two daughters were up and surfing in no time. Their instructor was Glen's brother Derek, who is a pro surfer .throughout the world. We later.found out Glen was as well.Glen's wife , Angie, brought us a cabana and chairs for $20 for the day and was there to bring food, drinks, anything you meed. We ended up up working with Glen to arrange every trip we did that week. Every one was exceptional and Glen cbecked in constantly to make sure we were happy. We found that he is very well known and respected in Maniel Antonio and his word is gold. It was like having family in Costa Rica.

Very friendly - Glen was great, extremely friendly ...gave the kids boogie boards for free and we also rented the beach umbrella and chairs
