Amazing Costa Rican family experience - Our family of five (3 kids ages 6, 8, 10) went on the local flavor tour and absolutely enjoyed ourselves. The kids were just as engaged as we were and said multiple times "this is way more fun than we thought it would be." Alan, our tour guide made the experience so educational and fun as he playfully interacted with the kids. The farm and garden were highlights, and the personal cooking class was amazing. The chef individualized each child's role and worked with them one on one. Ending in a delicious typical meal that we cooked was truly the cherry on top!! Thank you Alan for an unforgettable experience!

Cooking Costa Rican style! - My husband and I took a cooking class through Tucanestours to learn how to prepare Costa Rican foods. We made our own tortillas, plantains ceviche, rice and beans and chicken. Our host Stephanie helped guides us through the process. Our guide Jeremy was fabulous in helping us with the translation and preparation of the food. Lunch was delicious and so was the farm/garden that we visited.

Great food - Carla was a great tour guide and the food was amazing. I loved how we picked our food right out a garden and how much we learned about Costa Rican cuisine !

Fabulous Fun with Delicious Food! - My husband and I took our two kids (ages 10 and 7) on the Local Flavor Experience tour. We had a fabulous time! Our tour guide, Alberto Beto, was great with our kids, and we learned a lot from him – from the history of the area to fun facts about local critters to the different ingredients used in our cooking class. The ranch where our experience was held was beautiful, complete with a garden where we harvested fresh ingredients and animals (sheep, lambs, goats, horses, a pony, chickens, peacocks) that we were able to visit and pet. Stephanie, the master chef, did a great job working with our kiddos. We made Plantain Ceviche and Chicken Casado, all of which was very tasty! We had SO many amazing experiences during our time in Costa Rica, and this was one of my favorite. I highly recommend it for people of all ages. It was fun for the whole family!

Unforgettable family experience - rich in culture - Amazing food and company! Loved picking our own ingredients at the farm and hiking the grounds to see all the cool spices and medicinal herbs. My youngest son loved making the tortillas. He was so proud!

Wonderful Day - Alan was our guide and we were lucky that it was just us on the tour. He was amicable and explained lots of interesting facts to us and answered the many questions we had- he was easy going, professional and knowledgeable and we got on very well. We toured town in a comfortable car, got out at a park and then headed into the countryside. The ‘farm’ was great and we’re introduced to the animals before picking our food for our cooking experience. We had an amazing day- cooking, chatting and eating. Incredible Experience - We had an amazing experience on the Local Flavor Tour with our guide Harold, driver Esteban and chef Stephanie. Harold was incredibly knowledgeable about Costa Rican cooking, agriculture, wild-life, culture and politics. He answered all our questions and accommodated our 5 month old baby. The food we cooked was delicious and the farm was an idyllic setting for our experience. In addition to the cooking, we got to tour Quepos market and did a hike at the farm to learn about the local produce and wild life. This is an exceptional tour and I would highly recommend to anyone visiting the area.

Costa Rica Cooking Adventure! - This was a wonderful experience and very much enjoyed by our group. Allen was an excellent guide, providing interesting information both on the drive and at the farm. It was fun to visit the garden and pic things for our lunch. Stephanie led the food preparation with Allen interpreting, and she was a lot of fun to follow. It was very interactive.

A must do!!! - Highlight of our trip to Quepos! Our guide Alan was amazing and so knowledgeable. Even the shuttle ride to the garden from our hotel was informational and so interesting. it was amazing to pick our own vegetables and herbs and use them to cook a meal right there in the middle of the farm! We also got to see the farm animals which was a bonus for me :)

Fun on a Costa Rican Farm - The farm where we got produce was so well tended. The cooking experience wasn’t very satisfying but the food was good when served. The drive there was interesting. Our guide was nice.
